Hey guys, I just made a SBR account just so I could get my story out there about how my Betonline account went through a serious issue a couple days ago.

For some background, I deposited $25 etherum a month ago and worked it up to $350 only using the Sportsbook.

So at the end of Thursday, August 9th, I had $281 in my account before I placed an e-sport wager at 2:32am on August 10th. This was a winning bet. I logged back into my account around 7:30am to see my account had risen to $309. I placed another e-sport wager at 7:45am. This bet later won and I went to sleep. I woke back up around 10am expecting to see $329 and to my disbelief there was only $29 in my available balance. This obviously made 0 sense to me. I quickly checked my pending wagers and graded wagers but there was nothing out of the ordinary there. I quickly call player services to see what happened.

I was 2 minutes into my call with support and was on the betonline desktop site (which any user knows is a pain to stay signed in) when my account dropped from $29 to $4.94 in real time. So to clarify, I was on the phone explaining my missing $300 situation when another $24 just vanished.

Now I start to believe something is very fishy and something is going on with my account. Something has been compromised or hacked. The lady in player services was nice and understanding about the situation. Further into the call I made my way into the all transactions page. Here is what confirmed my suspicion. On Thursday, August 9th, there was a transaction made labeled as “Transfer to Poker” for $300 debit. There was also a transaction labeled as “Casino Win” also on Thursday for a $300 credit. This was clearly not my doing and the lady on the phone realized this. Keep in mind, I physically saw $281 at 2:32am and $309 at 7:30am on Friday.

So I have 2 issues here, how did someone go back in time on Thursday and drain my account of $300 I never had on Thursday and if were following the correct time of my wagers how does my account only have $4.94 when my last two bets on Friday we’re winning bets of $25 and $21 dollars. None of this adds up and the $300 transfer doesn’t even make sense relative to my betting history and the fact I’ve never touched the casino or poker sections.

I was on the phone for 30 minutes and the lady said she was going to expedite my case and I should hear back in 24-48 hours. It’s been over 24 hours as I make this post. I also sent a follow up email basically explaining how things transpired for me Friday morning. I know things like this take time but this is inexcusable and I’ve procided ample of information and verification to them so they can see this transfer of money was clearly not my doing.

If I hear anything in the coming hours I’ll be sure to update this thread but for now I’m curious as to what else I can do or what SBR can do about this. I know you guys have a big reputation amongst the Sportsbook. Between this issue, an incorrect wager grading and the constant issues I have signing into their browser I am not using them anymore and will be transferring my funds (if restored) to another Sportsbook.

Ive filed a complaint with SBR and it’s been 48 hours since my call with Betonline. Any other options I have? I’ve looked into all the other similar issues people had and it seems like people get their money back. I haven’t logged into the casino/poker to check what happened specifically in fear of them using it against me somehow since I know my IP has never once logged in there.

Yes they have made people good after similar issues before. They might take a few days about it.

I have only been using it for a little over a month and when I googled "Betonline hacked" there are a lot of exactly similar stories to mine ranging all the way back to 2012 and as recent as last February.

If it’s a poker hack chip dump it’s way easy for them to figure...BOL is not going to screw u they are long time solid book....but anytime I see esports then account issues red flags pop up as many times past post bets occur intentional or not

Can you elaborate what you mean when you say you see e-sport wagers then account issues? Do you think those 2 winning bets I placed on Friday played a part in all this? I only ask because Ive been trying to stress the point that I had seen my money normally Friday morning after my first winning bet and then after my second one i went back to sleep and woke up to the money missing which the transaction page had listed from Thursday so that's whats messing with me.

did you really go to sleep wake up and money was poofff gone.....wish someone would say it happened during day... Esports, poker issues and going to sleep waking up funds gone all red flags...BOL will figure out thats only thing i know for sure here

So it’s a little tricky to follow the train of events without being too detailed but I’ll try my best. My Thursday ended with $281. Placed a wager Friday that won and brought up my account to $309. I physically saw this number Friday at 7:30am. I placed another wager around 8am which won and should have brought my account to $329. I took a snooze for a couple hours and woke up to only $29. This was listed as a chip and dump but for Thursday at 11:59pm.

Then while on the phone with support it dropped from $29 to $4.94 (I still have not figured out where this money went) in real time when I was trying to give information to the support lady. I feel like the biggest indication that it wasn’t me is the fact my last two wagers are winning bets for around $50 on Friday but my account only has $4.94. For the life of me I can’t understand how $300 was transferred when I never had $300 in my account on Thursday so that would mean my money was retroactively taken out? This should all be plenty of information for BOL to understand what happened. It’s been well over 48 hours since my original call though.

Not sure if these deadlines mean anything since it’s been well over 48 hours since I talked to support on the phone on Friday at 10am and the lady said I’d be on some sort of priority list to the investigation team.

It would be nice if betonline provided on their website a transaction history that shows the balance after each transaction. They dont. It makes following the balance so much easier for their clients. It is kind of beyond me that they dont provide this feature, but every part of their website, I am basically shocked a company would take that route.

One of the things I’ve learned over the years - and this isn’t at all unique to offshore sports books but is true for any business really - is that when a customer service agent tells you that a task which is being completed by a separate department will be done in 24 or 48 hours, they are usually pulling that time frame completely out of their ass.

I got a call just now from BetOnline and they said they knew i was being hacked and should be receiving my funds back. Will update again once funds are back in my account.

Any word on how this hack occurred? Was it an employee? Was your computer hacked? or something fully on their end? What can we do to protect ourselves from these hacks.

Final Update:

$325 added back to the account and they shut down my Poker and Casino services (by request). Still debating on withdrawing to Heritage or Bovada. Not sure which one is better. Any opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Heritage is better by a city block easily the best FIAT book......SBR / BOL needs to address why this continues to happen to them...

When you say best fiat book, do you mean they do not accept Bitcoin? That would be my ideal way of withdrawals and deposits.

heritage BTC withdrawals are faster then BOL,,,By Fiat I mean book who turns your BTC deposit to USD/Euro then back to BTC when u withdrawal Heritage is easily #1 IMO best CS too

Just a few questions if you don't mind. I looked at the comparison between Heritage and Bookmaker and it looks like Heritage has a better bonus but everything else seems about the same so maybe you can help me decide which is better by how I bet.

I mainly like to bet in $10-50 at a time so limits don't really bother me. I like e-sports a lot and I like props for major sports and basically like having a lot of options within games. I also like to live bet major sports. I mainly bet on my phone as well. Do you think Heritage would be good for me? Thanks in advance

play around with both... every sportsbook has pros/cons

heritage has more props for some sports, but i like live betting better on bookmaker
