I don´t think you will find anyone that disagrees but this is a US dominated site and the results of the poster´s poll should be taken accordingly.

I fully agree with you on the ratings but I guess sponsorship money carries some weight!

I'm also astonished to see they topped the September posters poll 60 points ahead of Pinnacle coming in only 4th. Presumably because US punters can't use Pinnacle?

Bet Jamaica, also rated ahead of Pinnacle, are in the same league as 5Dimes in my experience and I can't justify maintaining my account with them either.

It doesn't suck to live in the US just because of the disgrace that George Bush has brought to this country, but also because any book available to US customers is essentially garbage.

I would have one day suggested 5dimes over Bookmaker, but after some of the issues I've experienced with 5dimes and them changing/removing/switching lines on me AS I was placing a bet on them, and the awful customer service and delays in payouts, I would put Bookmaker over 5dimes any day.

I only joined 5dimes because of the better lines for soccer wagering, and I do admit, they excel in that field, their lines are great. But customer service and issues I've had really make me want to go back to Bookmaker.

5dimes is a top rated book for 500$ and under bettors, as long as their winnings don't exceed 10k. i'm staring at college football limits of 200$ right now on my acct; 200$!!

additionally they impose 100$ limits on mma on me and then use my numbers to bet out at other shops

That may well be so but it doesn't justify SBR saying they are a great book for big and professional punters.

That just damages their credibility at least if not their integrity also.

When I first showed up here SBR had them designated as a "pro" book vs "rec". I guess it took about 3-4 months of constant complaining by the pro players to point out to SBR that this was in no way a pro book. SBR finally relented and changed them to a "rec" book. I can not see any way a pro could last one month with them and to be honest I know a guy who placed 5 wagers and was put on the delay (this thing was 45 secs) and given the $50 max wager.

If you have some spare lunch money to gamble, 5 Pennies is a good book. If you want to have someone call you a "shot taker" and drop f bombs on you, then 5 Pennies is your book. Obviously there is a place for them and they pay out fast.
