Bet-at-Home cancels live wager because they can
I filled a complain @ 15/10/2009 and got no feeback, so I think it's better to post it on the forum..

In 12-10-2009 I've placed a 100€ bet (live) on Draw @ GIF Sundsvall - Väsby United (1:0) (Handicap). Odd 3.65.
The match ended 1-2, so I won the bet. The bet status was "correct" and I had the 365€ on my account. In 13-10-2009 I've done 3 more bets, everything was still normal.
On 14-10-2009 I've logged in Bet-At-Home and noticed my account had lost 265€. The bet from 12-10-2009 had been voided, and the odd changed to 1.0 instead of 3.65.
more information about the bet (number 1192312, ticket 37).
I've contacted the live chat and was told they were very sorry, but they had a technical problem. I think i'm being scammed. The odd stayed at 3.65 during the time the score was 0-1 (for 3 minutes) when I placed my bet, the odd changed after the home team goal (1-1). I didn't saw any technical issue during the live game..

some points: Väsby United was the underdog for this match (when this match occurred Väsby was struggling to not get depromoted to the 3rd SWE league and GIF was in fourth place, the third place had +1 point). so you can picture the odds.

I was watching the game and thought how Väsby was playing better, and how they could manage to score and then bring all the players to defense and keep the score on their side (most of the underdogs play this way, after scoring a goal they close themselves the best they can and pray to Goal-God).

I was watching odds on Bet-at-Home (had the rollover to complete from last month's 100€ promo) and on Betfair.

On minute 27" Vasby scored (0-1) and the market became suspended, when the match restarted I was looking on Bet-at-Home for the best odd if the score kept like that until the end. They only had markets like 1x2, 1x2 handicap and over/under. So my best bet was Draw Handicap (1:0) @ 3.65.

One minute after that bet, my assumptions were proven wrong and GIF scored (1-1 @ 29").. The odd for Draw Handicap (1:0) raised, so I don't know where the technical problem may be. After that I went to the shopping to eat something. :P

When I came back I was surprised to see that Väsby scored at 57" and the final score was 1-2, so I had won the Draw Handicap bet (Handicap score 2:2). And there they were in my account, had 800+ shiny euros, 365 from this bet.

I think I told you everything I can about this bet.

                well, no replies..

I think I have to accept voiding winning bets as "normal procedure"

If they really had technical problems around the second goal, there could be a couple of reasons there. Time of the bet could alarm them a bit if the match really started at 19:10. That would mean that you bet in 33-34th minute, which is after 29th minute, when the goal was scored. Even if the match started 19:15, it still looks like you bet just around the second goal. Now about the odds... considering the starting 1x2 and OU lines and necessary adjustments after scored goals, I would say that if you bet 1:0 handicap after the first goal, your odds were a bit too high, Instead of 3.65, 2.65 would have been more understandable. The only way I could see odds 3.65 being used here is with 0:1 handicap - it would be a bit low odds for handicap draw before the second goal and a bit high odds for the same handicap draw after the second goal.

So I would say wrong handicap line and/or wrong odds, difference 2.6/3.65.

the match started at 19h15 GMT, you have that info here:

                      GIF Sundsvall - Vasby United
                      League: Swedish Superettan
                      Date: 12 Oct. 2009 19:15 (Mon)
I bet at 28" as I stated before, don't make wrong assumptions like that. I'm not trying to fool anyone!

maybe you're right about the odds, BUT, being Väsby the underdog and playing away, they had all the odds (1x2 market and 1x2 handicap) against them from the beginning.

I understand... it is just my opinion that with starting odds 1.50/4.10/5.90 and U/O 2.1/1.67 as it was the case in this match, I would expect odds 2.60 on handicap 1:0 draw in 28th minute.

My speculations were purely about what THEY thought about the time when you placed the bet. If they lost control over match for some time, they can get all kind of crazy ideas.

In any case, they should be very clear about WHY they did that. I would send another email and request that it is forwarded directly to sportsbook department - they can always give better replies. Ask for more detailed explanation about what happened and what exactly was wrong with the bet and odds 3.65 that you had.

I did that, never got a reply.
SBR didn't reply either (I filled a complain).

I got over it though.. thanks for trying to figure it out Monk.
