What happens on a prop bet if the player turns up injured and never plays in the game? Is that a no bet (refund) or do you lose?

It depends on the book rules.
Futures markets are often treated as "all-in" meaning no voids for non-starters.
A game day player prop would be unusual to not void non-starters though.
What exact bet, book and sport? I don't mind checking for you.

DraftKings has a "no brainer" bet ($25 limit) that Steph Curry will make one- 3 pointer on Saturday vs Lakers. I impulsively made the bet yesterday instead of waiting until Saturday.

I didn't check rules but would be 99% sure they would refund that bet if he does not play.
