    Florida Sports betting done
They can do a new contract, but without voters approving it, mobile wagering done and all gambling would need to be on Indian land.

Is it shut down already or will this wait for an appeal etc?

I imagine DeSantis and the tribe are discussing what options to go with because neither has released any statements

There was no immediate information available as to what happens to the sports wagers accepted by the tribe through its mobile app in the three weeks it was operating.

          Sounds messy already

Well whatever happened in those 3 weeks are done with zero effect on those betting...

What happens going forward is another thing. Its going to have to go to a vote.

I know this is a massive long shot….. but since the judge ruled online wagering to be illegal and the tribe did it anyway, shouldn’t they have to refund any losses for taking illegal bets?

For the record I don’t expect this to happen at all, but you never know….

Well, they are still accepting wagers as of right now. Yesterday I read that wagering would continue during an appeal, but at this point I wouldn’t bet on it

They filed a notice of appeal already this afternoon, hope they find a friendly Indian judge

I contacted them via email this afternoon and the response was they are still accepting wagers

They only have a little over 100 thousand signatures of the 800 thousand they need to get on 2022 ballot. It’s not going to happen they are going to run out of time to get the signatures

I have a feeling they will try and keep the betting going until the appeal is heard...... However, according to legal experts, an appeal is problematic. The tribe was not a party to the suit and neither is the state. Only the Department of Interior can appeal. And because it wasn’t briefed beforehand, the state may not get any revenue since the compact signed in 2010 is now in effect.

By that logic, the winning bets were illegal too. So you think all willing participants should have to go back to square one?
