#11So will SBR still help with offshore complaints?
Just logged in for the first time in a while. Still unclear about this. Does anyone know?Comment -

#12SBR Sportsbook being discontinued?
With all the changes, was wondering if the SBR Sportsbook will be eliminated?
Not that I use it or play in contests, but what about SBR poker too?Comment -

#13I would imagine they are not but will address outstanding complaints. They are clearly moving toward being US friendly which means they have to cut ties with offshore. Also I doubt the offshore books are too please and will want to work with themComment -

#22I am hopeful that as US sports betting grows we eventually see a return to the sports forum glory days of the early 2000's. SBR is a bit ahead of the curve but someone had to be. Plus none of us is privy to what is going on behind the scenes.
In the meantime there is still a huge market for a solid offshore forum. I am certain someone will emerge to fill the void.Comment -

#23I'm not only amazed that SBR has pulled out of being associated with offshore book, but it's like almost all the popular sites for checking scores/odds, or with forums, switched about the same time. Use to be normal to see BM, BOL, Bov, and other books being advertised on most sports betting related sites, now it's all MGM, Draftkings, BetRivers, etc.
I realize there are a lot of states now with legalized sports betting, but there is still about half without.
I'm KY , which is gonna try and protect their precious horses at all cost. I'm surrounded by states with legal sports betting: IL, IN, WV and TN, and maybe VA as well. I think OH and MO are still holding out like KY.
I don't want to drive across the river to IN and hangout at a sportsbook making bets all day.
But I'm also small fry. So if a book does screw me out of my 300-500 balance, then I guess I'll start driving across the river to IN. lolComment -

#24Bummer. I get the shift in business model, but it was always nice to know that SBR had some relation to the folks who held my money and would represent my side of things in a dispute. End of an era.Comment
