Winning NCAAF Bet Cancelled by Heritage Sports
Had a live bet on the under in the Syracuse - Rutgers game due to what I assume they are classifying as a “bad line”

I made a bet on Under 4.5 touchdowns with about 6:30 minutes left in the game and 3 total TDs on the scoreboard (score was 17-7 Rutgers and game ended 17-7)

Woke up this morning and the winnings had been deducted from my account

I also made a live bet on the under 30.5 at the same time which was paid out and not cancelled

I’m not a shot taker by any means and the bet was for my normal amount. My bet on the under 30.5 was actually 2x the size of the touchdown total bet

Definitely down lifetime in total at this book

Heritage has been great to me for years but this seems a little disingenuous cancelling the bet seeing as if what I assume (and thought the correct line I was betting) of under 3.5 TDs would have covered anyways since there were 0 additional points scored in the game

Bet was paid out and then funds removed with zero explanation 18 hours later

Anyone else bet this or have a similar experience? Curious to hear other posters thoughts.

Why would you bet 2x more on the under 30.5? Under 4.5 TD is a lock if the total stays under 30.5. Why not just bet it all on under 4.5 TD’s?

If they scored 1 TD, you’d lose the under 30.5 but still cover the under 4.5 TD’s.

Seems like one of them is definitely a bad line

My live wagers are capped at heritage

Had the max on Under 30.5

Legitimately thought I saw 3.5 / was betting for no more TDs to be scored

What’s your live wagering max? $1k, like me? JazzSports has the same live wagering platform where my max is $500. It’s a decent 2nd level book. I sometimes use to it when I reach the max at Heritage.

$2k max on live bets at heritage

Down lifetime at heritage though so could explain why I have a higher limit

I would contact a wagering supervisor, they have always been more than fair. While it looks like a bad line the bet should be honored , 2 touchdowns is very doable in 7 minutes especially with a game where the total was in the 50s before it started

Although I think the 4.5 was a true error line, I agree with Bigblue, email and ask for your query to be escalated to a manger and explain as you have here, and ask if you can be treated with some goodwill considering the Under 3.5 line would have won anyway.

Maybe even link them to this thread.

Worth a shot. I think if you catch a manger in a good mood they will agree your bet sizes suggest you are telling the truth and might make you good.

                Thanks guys; appreciate the feedback

Heritage is a top notch book and I understand their / books positions on bad lines but exposing that was clearly not my intent here

I submitted the review request and will revert back when I have an update

Hoping for a good outcome here

Welp no dice on the goodwill / common sense honoring of the wager

                  See response from Heritage below:

“Sir, the line was a cancellation as no lines should have been offered after 13.57 pm pacific time, and the wager was placed at 14.15 pm.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer the wager. It stands as a past posted wager.

                  Thanks for your understanding”

I’m not going to kick and scream or bad mouth the book or anything but it definitely seems customer service and friendliness towards the bettor has gone downhill the past year or so

Especially surprising with all the onshore options here in the US
