GTBets and hidden BTC payout fee
I have taken 2 BTC payouts from GTBets and each time the received amount was about 2% lower than what was debited from my account. Apparently, this is a charge levied by the 3rd party processor that they use to generate the BTC transaction. Regardless of its source, to the customer, this is effectively a 2% fee on BTC payouts, despite their claim that BTC payouts are "free."

I made a request to Customer Service to refund the charge, but it was denied.

Lots and lots of shops offering the same product, meaning that this is enough for me to take my business elsewhere.

Yup. This observation pops up on here every once in a while. GTBets (or their processor) definitely charges a fee. They deny it, but it's clearly happening. I'd have more respect for them if they were at least honest about it.

            Hi darth,

We spoke with GTBets on this and understand your account was credited in the end with the difference. Players who feel they were shorted on their bitcoin withdrawals can contact GTBets for reimbursement. Due to using a third-party processor, there are times where amounts might vary between the amount shown as paid on the blockchain versus what the player received.

you have to call them out on it with exchange rates and timestamps on blockchain, and then they will reimburse you once you prove it to them. they are full of shit and it is definitely intentional, as they never seem to argue back after the initial "exchange rates vary, processor has fees" BS. Mybookie did this for years also. they short you just enough so they think most players won't bother. Then if you catch them they just put the money back in your account.

So what I gather from the update is that GTBets intends to continue charging this hidden fee, but will reimburse players who call them out on it. Screw everyone else. LOL

I can confirm that I did, in fact, receive a credit to the account. Thank you for your intervention. That was an unexpected surprise!
