Caesars Indiana Mobile and Taxing Winnings
I signed up for Caesars Indiana mobile app sportsbook in order to take advantage of their $500 matched first bet promo. After placing my bet (-110 odds) it is saying my potential return of $954.55 will be taxed at 30.1%, and there is a statement below that winnings above $449 dollars will have a 30.1% gambling tax deducted. I contacted their chat and they could not provide me any information that validated this, what they showed me said winnings above $600 would be taxed. Does anyone have any experience with Caesars mobile betting in Indiana or with taxes in Indiana? They also refused to refund my bet. They supposedly are raising my concern to management but who knows what will happen. Any feedback appreciated.

Well the bet won and my account was credited with the full amount, no taxes deducted. It is troubling that both the website and app showed it and that customer service told me it was correct. I still need to play the bonus bet but I don’t see myself using this book moving forward. The app is not showing my bonus but it does show when I log on via the website. I’m in KY next to the IN border and driving over to bet, so the app not showing the bonus is a pain. I’ve got to install a geo-locating plugin on my laptop and try to use it that way since I couldn’t bet it using the app.

Looks that way. My bonus bet won as well and also did not have taxes taken out even though it showed they would be under the bet again. I haven’t heard back from anyone at Caesars but I went ahead and withdrew my money.

Can you please post a link or screenshot of the wording?

Has to be confusion here somewhere.
