Looks like my closest sportsbook will be FanDuel at Grand Victoria in Elgin.
Any opinions, pluses, minuses? How do they compare to say, Heritage?

I thought the way IL law was setup was no online for the first year to give the local casinos an edge. Do you mean fanduel will run the physical sportsbook at Grand or did I misunderstand what I read about the IL law?

FanDuel can operate jointly with Grand Vic, but they can't use their branding exclusively for 18 months (I can't remember if that means they can't also call it FD sports book or can as long as the book is in the casino). Also have to register in-person for online wagering for the first 18 months, after that, can register online.

Anybody know for sure who the book operators are gonna be? Rivers, Grand Vic, Hollywood and Argosy are supposedly close to opening. I've been hearing conflicting info on who the book operators are gonna be at each, anybody know?

Rivers is BetRivers (Their own brand). Grand Victoria is William Hill. Hollywood Casino is Penn Gaming/Barstool Sports, Hawthorne will be Pointsbet.

You need to be the other unit in line with Michigan for "Operation Mush Freedom". The Sportsbook Mush Intelligence Network. Any of you Illini boys want to make some cash? We share mush intelligence with each other. Lots of virgin bettors and bookie bettors. Develop some rapport with them, seek them out, and we will establish a network with each other. You have to qualify them though first to make dam sure they are a mush.
Any thoughts on this? Big opportunity here. Don't pass it up!

I might be wrong, cause I orginally thought it was William Hill also cause of Eldorado Resorts. The IGB website shows FanDuel though. I dont know. Ill wait till Baseball starts to sign up and hopefully the kinks are worked out. Will stay off shore for NCAA tourney

I hope it's W. Hill cause we'll be able to get fanduel and draftkings anyway once the 18 months or whatever passes and the law allows online only places. Want as many in state options as possible. Unfortunately a lot of the casinos in IL are owned by the same parent companies so that could weaken the diversity of options if they all use the same management for their books. Hopefully they don't and diversify. Hopefully the stadiums use
