    Moving to Canada
New year and a new opportunity for me. I am moving to Canada in March. What will my sportsbook, poker and exchange options be?

I currently base myself in the UK and I have my choice of 4 exchanges and all top sportsbooks. The same can be said for poker.

I can see from reading here that payments is an issue? Can Canadian customers not just fund with bank card like the UK? Should I consider any bank over another bank when signing up to my bank out here?

What are offers like in Canada? It was matched Betting that got me in to gambling in the UK. Is there any similar scene in Canada?

    Thanks in advance.

Many UK bookies will not accept registrations from Canada. The ones that do include 888Sport and William Hill.
Betfair? No chance. Betfair blocks Canadians. Same with the other exchanges.

You can use Pinnacle, in Euros or Canadian dollars. Poker Stars accepts Canadians, as a matter of fact Canadians can play at every poker site as far as I know.

While you can fund with a bank card at some shops you cannot withdraw via this method.

I'd recommend getting setup with idebit/instadebit, muchbetter, and ecopayz. You can also buy prepaid vouchers (paysafecard, ecovoucher, neosurf etc) at many locations.

This is not a comprehensive list, just a start.

there are 2 banks that allow cards. I use the one named after Montreal. Never a problem. Stay away from TD real dicks. Think they are some sort of morality police

            Bet365
Stay away from TD and RBC. They will not allow you to deposit using card. Only banks i know are BMO and Scotia.

Bet365 and Pinny are nice as they both offer wire withdraws. Bet365 wire withdraw is 2 days into your bank and unlimited withdraws in a month for free, not sure about pinny and of course BM, Heritage and 5Dimes.

            What part of Canada?

Forget all of thee above! Just go to Mac's party store/gas station and play the parlay cards where you have to win 3 games to win. They also have pools where you pick every game and can box them. For some reason, the US jumped way ahead of them on this gambling thing when it appeared they were ahead.

I even got my X-girl into this. She would go up to Mac's and had a baseball parlay every day. The only problem was each ticket had the Blue Jays and Over on it every day. I told her don't do that but.........(it wasn't my money)
