Bitcoin DELAYS

I have been waiting for over 90 minutes for my bitcoin transaction to confirm so that Bovada will put the funds in my account. If bitcoin transactions CAN NOT be reversed or cancelled why can't Bovada go ahead and credit the account......especially when you talk to them and they can "see" the bitcoin transaction?
I am going to start using my bank card from now on because I'm tired of waiting and waiting for blockchain to pick up the transaction.......AND I paid the HIGHER FEE to send it priority!!!!

Books are scared shitless of double spends, even when they hold all of the cards. I could see no withdrawals or poker room until x confirmations but I agree with you.

PD77......but they are quick to say "Bitcoin" Is the fastest, most secure way to fund accounts. I say that's complete B.S. because I've been waiting for 2 1/2 hours for my deposit to get 1 confirmation!! They see it but won't fund the account but I could have used bank card and had funds in the account in less than a minute. So that's false advertising in regards to bitcoin because according to the CS agent at Bovada they are basically at the mercy of blockchain. I will be looking for another wallet if I continue to use bitcoin because I'm sick of the lies Bovada tells and I'm sick of sending my money only to be able to wager it when blockchain/Bovada feels like they want to confirm it. I'm beyond pissed!!!

You should check Bitcoinfees to make sure you are sending a big enough fee at the time to have your transaction mined in the next block. I bet your fee was too low.

That is a strange one. The network is low on demand today and even a small fee should have made the next block.

Some people will still try and freeroll a big bet here and there, but in general I agree. If the person cant withdraw until confirmed I would make it instant credit once on the blockchain. Having staff confirm the fee amount is high enough for a timely confirmation would be enough.

The other solution is to use another crypto currency. Sometimes I deposit using ethereum if I want to make certain the deposit gets credited quickly.

An Ethereum transaction will confirm 12 times in 3 mins or less. Its much faster than bitcoin. Not even close.

and the reason books cant credit beforehand is because if you sent a transaction with an extremely low fee, or even a 0 fee, as some people have, it will eventually get dropped from the pool of transactions and back to your wallet. Why open themselves up to that ?

same reason they open themselves to chargebacks on cc’s and check reversals. It’s the price of doing business. If it’s a new account I can understand waiting for 1,2 or even 3 confirmations but if I’ve sent 10 deposits using bitcoin from the same wallet with ample fee, there should be no problem crediting the transaction when it hits the blockchain, if it takes three days to confirm, adjust the deposit price accordingly. There’s no doubt bitcoin has issues with speed, it will never be viable with the current wait time for confirmations, but there are plenty of places that credit accounts as soon as the deposit hits the blockchain as long as certain safeguards other than confirmations are met.

Stopped using bitcoin ages ago... Use XRP for cash in and cash outs on bookmaker; money in account within 5 minutes - less than 5c fees. Immediate on betcoin.ag, which is why now rarely use Nitro
