SBR Complaint about William Hill, after they stole my winnings
I played at William Hill for a few days. I deposited $5,720 and I won $1,283 on about 7 bets on NFL.I requested a withdrawal, and was asked for several documents, which I provided. This entire process was very slow, because they kept asking for more documents, and then they would not respond for several days. It was very unprofessional. One of the things they wanted was a screenshot of my Skrill account. Finally, after over a month, they sent my money, but they did not send all of it. It was missing the $1,283 which I had won.I contacted them and they told me it was because I had received funds from another party. My Skrill account had received a transfer from another Skrill user. Apparently this is grounds to steal my money. I tried to be reasonable with William Hill, but they finally just stopped responding. I filed an SBR complaint on 10 December, but I have not received a response yet. I will next file complaints with the regulatory bodies that oversee that William Hill is following the rules. Which are the ones that govern William Hill?

This is such a hassle and I just want to receive my money. It's already been over three months now. I wish I had never played with William Hill

The problem will probably be that the Skrill user you received funds from has already been bet size limited, or flagged as money laundering, or using proceeds of crime, or betting above their means.

They now see you as a proxy for that person.

Your only chance is an appeal to the regulator.

What country are you in and I can give you some links?

The person who sent me the money is one of the largest Skrill and Neteller affiliates in the entire world. They have probably sent funds to hundreds of users. They helped me to get money on to my account, because otherwise, the fees would have been very high.

Anyway, William Hill did not even ask me about this. They just confiscated the funds and did not mention anything, until I messaged them after I noticed they sent less money than they should have. It seems to me very unprofessional for what I thought is one of the largest bookmakers in the whole world.

Will you ask somebody at SBR to take a look at it please?

So far I have filed complaints with IBAS and the Financial Ombudsman. What other agencies oversee William Hill and grant them their license?

If you are in the UK, that is your sole option for dispute resolution with them.

IBAS might even help with this from the sound of your problem too.

Another option is to email second_opinion@willhill.com and try to appeal to them again. They can also help hurry along the IBAS investigation. If they say they wont help you, ask them to refer you to their independent dispute resolution service.
