There is a big variation between the value of cashout offers at different books.
Although almost every time the bettor could get better value betting the other side to create the hedge themselves.
But still people LOVE this option. Receive regular complaints saying books take away the cash out option on them just as they want to use it. And none want to hear that its bad value.
Paddypower powered books offer decent cash out rates. Betstars powered books offer such ludicrously low cashouts that it feels almost criminal to me. Bet365 somewhere in middle..Comment -

Ex.
If you bet Team A on the ML and they quickly go up 17-0

The only way you cash out/opt out a wager that is currently winning is if you're watching the game live and personally see a definite change in momentum and/or something drastic that has happened such as a key injury.

Yeah, I had at 2 or 3 instances in baseball this season where I hit the over early, but was hit with a rain delay that eventually suspended the game before the minimum 8.5 innings for an O/U bet. Have to think this option will be off the table once the rain delay officially starts, but if u anticipate it will suspend the game, probably a good option to have.Comment -

Bovada paid me out same day every time I asked this spring which was quite a bit and was usually $xxxx. I was just using them to arb. They did limit pretty quick but no issues w/ payouts. I used to think the same thing because a couple years ago they were brutal with payouts but BTC payout was lightning fast all spring in my experience. YMMVComment -
