This should not be possible as Blockchain wallet automatically issues a new receive address as soon as bitcoin is sent to the current one.

But you can manually make a new receive address by clicking; Settings Icon Top Right > Wallets & Addresses > then Manage next to My Bitcoin Wallet > and then click Add new Address

One last dumb question, is Blockchain legal and valid in Canada?

Do you mean create new address? You can also create new wallets, but that is not needed and could get confusing after a while if you do it that way.

It's available for use everywhere. It's just a free wallet, there are no laws governing it really.

Are you intending to use the selling bitcoin service they have?

There are a few good threads around here full of Canadians discussing withdrawal and buying options. I'll try to find one if you need that?

I created a new wallet. I'll keep the new address option in mind for next time, but i did not see that option available when using the app. I plan to just delete a few of these empty wallets anyways to avoid confusion on my part.

Thanks. I'm so sorry but one last question- What are the different methods to withdraw money from Blockchain?

Blockchain wallet does not operate their own withdraw service.

They give you an option to connect to a third party service. But I do not think many people here use it. Due to restrictions on location and prices I think.

Anyway due to that, I don't know much about it really, sorry. :\

I don't want to confuse you by going into all the reasons, but you are best to just keep that blockchain wallet as your personal wallet you use at one end of every transaction. And choose a separate exchanger for sending cash to from your bank account.

For Canadians you will normally want one that uses Interac I think.

Thanks boss. Can I transfer bitcoin from this to Coinbase? From Coinbase, i can send it to my paypal. Would the transfer cause any issue from blockchain to coinbase? Sorry for asking so many stupid questions.

                              That's the perfect recommended solution.

You want to avoid sending directly to/from exchanges and bookmakers. Most have terms about non gambling usage.

So you should send to your own blaockchain wallet first then on send it.

Also, using your own wallet at one end every time means you are a direct party to every transfer of your money. Instead of asking one third party to send your money to another third party and potentially not having any idea what the actual status is, or having to get them to deal with each other if a problem comes up.

If you did not write down your 12 word seed phrase when creating the blockchain wallet. You should go into advanced settings and find it and write it down now btw.

Having that means you can re-create the wallet elsewhere if you ever have an issue accessing blockchain as well. Good insurance.

It’s possible if you give the same address to two different payers and create a race situation. It’s happned to me before when I forget that one of the books I’m pulling from requires a virgin address.

Lost a few wallets not writing down the phrase or not being able to read my own writing. Did happen to find some coins that I thought were lost. Archived a bitcoin address so it didn't show up in my balance. Fortunately one day I checked archived addresses and had some money in it.
