This past Thursday, the US Supreme Court upheld the "ObamaCare" health plan. I don't want to get into that issue now, I've seen enough conservative gnashing of teeth and liberal gloating.

However, what is being overlooked is that in that same ruling, the Supreme Court put a BIG dent into Congress' power to use the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Make no mistake: The Commerce Clause has been significantly weakened.

Considering that is the clause which gets in our way quite frequently as gamblers, it will be interesting to see if states tell the federal gov't to go to you-know-where when they try to enact their own legislations.
