    Minimum bet rule
"We close very few accounts and a high proportion of these are for responsible gambling or anti-money laundering grounds or because they are duplicate accounts, rather than for trading reasons." LOL

Ian Sharpe, 35, is one of 50,000 British gamblers to have their accounts restricted by British bookmakers because he was winning too much money and can now make maximum bets of just 33p

Regulated books should be required to allow every bettor at least 100 $/€/£ profit per bet and match unless a limitation for reasons of gambling addiction is justifiable.

Min bet is only horse-racing so far, but they're copying each other for PR purposes.

Guessing it'll spread to soccer because the sheer insane volume there makes it practical - prolly PL first, then CL and the other four big Euro leagues.

Min risk limits have been around in Australia for quite a while on horse racing. Hasn't made much difference really. Sharps just get totally banned instead of limited. And it hasn't crossed over to sportsbetting as yet.

Yeah - the interesting thing about the UK version is that they'll lay that min bet to anyone, even those previously banned.

At least in Australia government see how bookmakers acted and they are not useless

The Federal Court has ordered Hillside (Australia New Media) Pty Ltd (trading in Australia as Bet365) and its UK service company, Hillside (Shared Services) Limited (together, Bet365) to pay penalties totaling $2.75 million for making false representations by Bet365’s ‘free bets’ offer to new customers, in proceedings brought by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

In UK People can use betfair exchange , smakets ,matchbook, betdaq without bet limitation

Really?? They will let people reopen accounts that have been previously closed?

Or just allow limited accounts to now bet the 500 on horses?

If it is the former, each account they re-open is like an admission the closure was purely for winning I think.
