Intertops Bonus points forced to forfeit. Horrible
I have had an Intertops account since 2000. Since the inception of the account I have accumulated bonus points. These points when reaching certain levels can be used to obtain free bonus money. Over the last year I had used my account sparingly but, knew I had reached a certain level to obtain a $10 bonus the last time I logged in. Granted $10 is really not worth making a big deal about but, like most things it comes down to principle.

Well, i logged in today to make a bet with the current balance I had left in the account and figured now would be a good time to also apply and use the $10 I had earned. After searching ,it is nowhere to be found. I go on live chat and the live agent Sana tells me my account is banned from earning bonuses. This makes no sense so I decide to call and speak with Collete. Sana, was wrong. Collete informs me on March 21st 2018 the point bonus program ended and any unused points were forfeited. She also tells me an email was sent out alerting customers. Well, either the email did not make it to my account or she is lying because I can assure you If I received an email telling me to use $10 by a certain date or forfeit money I would certainly use it. Anybody with a brain would.

In any case, I politely tell her whether I received the email or not why didn't Intertops , on March 21st, simply automatically apply monies anyone who was in the program had earned . Why did the player have to manually exercise it. Well we know the answer, because some people would forget, wouldn't receive or read the email and Intertops can save a lot of the bonus money they should have paid out. I kindly ask for a supervisor. First she says they are all in a meeting then later says they do not take outside calls. Well, which is it?? I ask since I am a customer for 18 years to please just credit $10 into my account. I have never once asked for a credit, etc. In fact this is probably the first time I have called in over 5 years. She says play the remaining balance in your account and when you call us back we will see if we have a bonus for you. What?? I have to play the money in there, call back just to be offered some reload bonus. No thanks!!! I earned these points over many years and they were taken from me!! Intertops you have the ability to do the right thing and put a petty $10 in my account but you chose to take a different road.

Figured that would be the first reply. Unfortunately you didn't get to the part where I said its the principle.
However, fortunate for you is you are big money so anything less than 10 dimes a game doesnt mean anything right Big Orange?
Boy hope you are never down on your luck and, have to actually be like us common folk. You may not get much sympathy.

Why not email them or try Live Chat again and explain the confusion with the email? I believe for the 10 dollars they will accommodate you. Keep us posted. This really should be an easy fix.

            Another big shot! Michael 7777!!!

Have you ever just taken an interest in how the sausage is made or tried to look at an issue without focusing on the amt.
Are you saying my post/opinion is meaningless because the amt is less than your standards?
I suppose you have never debated/had a discussion with someone over something like politics or religion just to gain knowledge or prove a point?

Thanks for the advice. I emailed them, called them and did live chat with them. I explained it to them many times in many different ways using many different examples. I too thought over ten dollars and a customer of 18 years they would credit it to me. Also, the fact the points were mine and I had earned the bonus they would accommodate my request. To no avail. Im certain I am dealing with a first level customer service rep who is just regurgitating what her computer is telling her. Im not sure how much more time I will spend on this issue but, I felt this forum was a good one to express my opinion and, let others know that if they are doing this over a small amt. it may be indicative of how they operate as a whole.

Thanks for sharing. We've asked Intertops to take a look. It's not uncommon for unused perks to have an expiration date. Books do want active players so it sounds like a dormancy enforcement but we'll confirm what Intertops' position is.

My account was active throughout the past year. Just not as much as years previous or as high a dollar amt. I found out today they actually eliminated the whole program/points system on March 21st. According to them they emailed everyone and advised of the program closure date. I never received or saw the email. So It was not a decision directed solely at me. Again, this is more of how I was treated, the run around I received today and, the fact they are taking such a hard line on a simple issue. Not so much about the money. Anyway, I really appreciate the help and thank you for your prompt response.

They have credited the bonus as a good faith gesture. However their customer service team was correct, across the board users were provided with an expiration date on the loyalty bonus system as their classic version of the sportsbook was upgraded and clients on the old CMS were given a time-frame to redeem the bonus points. You are welcomed to continue wagering with Intertops but moving forward would be bonus-excluded as a management decision.

Yes thanks to SBR they were able to get my $10 credited. Of course it was never about the $10. It was about the fact I never received notice the program was ending and, every step of the way I met resistance and poor customer service. Instead of this drawn out battle they, could have stepped up and credited the $10 in the first place. I guess putting me on a bonus restriction is their last little parting shot and way to say they still won. Anyhow, I appreciate SBR for the help and ultimately they were able to get it worked out.

Temple2010.... Another big swingin .... who clearly thinks because he pisses $10 he is better then us small timers.

I thought this board was to air out opinions and share good/bad stories. I did not know it required a certain net worth to be taken seriously.
