#38another example Betonline situation...down for over 2 weeks and or serious issues yet no down grade...I like BOL but come on you have to be fair and balanced....Rating should be fluid and go up and down when major issues occur.....I would think half to full grade down would be the right thing to do..How can SBR have them at same grade as Heritage, 5Dimes, Bookmaker???? I would be Irate if i was those sites paying for ADs and affiliate program and have same grade as a book who has been basically down for over 2 weeks....what am i missing here???? Sports Book Review??Comment -

A book like BOL that has been involved with SBR in one form or another for the entire time I've worked here and longer than that - so say 10-12 years - is not going to see it's rating changed based on a two week window because that's merely a little glimpse of a much bigger picture. Are you joking with this?! Ratings are based on the overall consistency of a sportsbook, the information that SBR has on hand both publicly and privately, etc. And of course other books aren't going to be "irate" because they'd absolutely hate it if they were treated how you somehow expect them to be because shit happens in the offshore world. Those books you've mentioned have all gone through hiccups from time to time. More than once and yet you just stated how great they are. Imagine if we had treated them how you expect us to treat BOL right now. This isn't bingo at the old folks home with so you may want to adjust what you expect in a dynamic environmentLast edited by shari91; 03-15-18, 12:14 PM.Comment -

#40I appreciate your sudden concern in ratings but no they're not fluid nor have they ever been. Do you think we're running a line service of sportsbooks here and with every plus or minus event the odds change on the book??????

#42If Sbr was not "for profit" , betislands never happens. Period. end of story. SBr is for profit. A lot of for profit business do a lot of good in the world. And a lot of them do very bad. Take it for what its worth. But betislands never happens if sbr werent a for profit business.
SBR is definitely for profit... this isn't a charity although we do our best to support them and encourage our posters to do the same and this isn't a site being run by some rich person who throws in money constantly for all of our contests, the store, staff, etc. It's a business. And have mistakes been made a couple of times? Hell yes. But they weren't taken lightly because believe it or not those of us who are here 12-18 hours a day trying to provide you with a decent experience actually give a rat's ass about how things turn out for you. And me. None of this will ever be perfect because as you well know this industry is full of trashbags but I can hand on my heart say that I know we do the best we can to insure nothing goes pear-shaped. No profit = no staff, no BTP, no Bashes, no poker and other contests and no Store. I don't think some people realise that when they get worked up about it. But thank you for always being cool and a voice of reasonComment -
