Sportsbooks and their responsibilites on past post wagers
I placed 7 bets on Golf the other night on BetOnline while the tournament was going. I didn't think live betting was available so I went over to the Futures section and all the players were still sitting there with odds to bet on them. I woke up the next day to see all my wagers were cancelled and my money refunded without explanation. Come to find out, the lines were up for a good 3 hours and shouldn't have been. With so much money involved, I'm just curious as to what responsibility players and sportbooks should take when this happens. I was by no means trying to take advantage of anything as the Golf tournament was only in Round 2 and still had 2 more rounds to be played, I was just curious what the general population thinks when a sportsbook is offering lines for hours on end when the lines should have been closed a long time ago. I had this happen with BetOnline once in the past. If you check my post history this is the 2nd time I've made note of this happening on this forum. I do quite a bit of live betting and this website is the only one I've ever had an issue with in 5 years. I filed a complaint but only because I feel like sportsbooks should be responsible on pulling the plug on lines at the correct times or just face the consequences. IF all bets are final, it should work both ways. I appreciate any and all feedback from you guys. Cheers!

Some sites consider that violation of t/c ‘s and consider it as possible fraud attempt..could close account and maybe even worse confiscate funds if they see a pattern of that...I’d pay attention to start times

Some of the unscrupulous sites would have left the bets up and free rolled you by cancelling them after they won or grading them if they lost.

You are lucky these were cancelled and that your account wasn't closed.

You were not trying to take advantage? You were betting golf futures on an event that started and was in the 2nd round.
