Heritage free contests and got shutoff
I have been with them for 5 years. I went over to play their survivor pool like I have done for the past 3 or 4 years and I couldn't log on. I free chatted customer service and they said I could no longer play the free contests.

I have no idea why they would shut me off. I am a very small player. I have never had any problem with them in the past. I think in the 5 years I may have taken money out once or at most twice.

Does anyone know why they would do something like that. Very disappointed a respectable book would do this.

They just sent me an e-mail and said it was because of my deposit history. I have had a bet with them, I would say almost everyday for 5 years. Not too happy but what can you do.

Fuk them and their contests, another book that got weird this year. They won't accept phone calls anymore either from most people. Plenty better books with better bonuses too.

I miss betjamaica. They transferred me to Heritage and I don't really have any need for them.

By "deposit history", do they mean lack of deposits? Are they saying you're up too much on them? Sounds vague.

there's a recent deposit clause in their contests requirement rules. they can't make any money off someone who hasn't deposited recently even if he hasn't plagued them with withdrawal requests. they don't care if you've continually bet. it's deposits that they live off of and sounds like he hasn't made one recently enough to be eligible for the contests.

I actually finished 4th in the their season long contest 2 years ago and is one of the reasons I haven't had to make any deposits. If you have enough money in your account why should they expect you to deposit. I am just saying forget it, it's not worth getting mad about it, they can run it the way they want, but in the long run it is a poor way to treat their loyal customers.

I don't want to knock Heritage as they are one of the top books and I have never had one problem with them, but don't like what they did.

Dogman, this is almost exactly what happened to me with Heritage. No issues then suddenly cut off on contests. I told them I would reup for $1K which according to their contest "requirements", would more than suffice. I wanted a guarantee that if I deposited, I would be eligible for all the contests. They said no, they would have to reevaluate as the season went on. I love their site and betting options but the customer service is complete garbage!

                  Art,

I agree with you 100%. I told them I would make a deposit yesterday and they no, I still wouldn't be able to play. It says you have to make 20 bets since July 19th(which I have) or make a deposit in Sept. Why put them rules up there if you are not going to honor them.

Like I said, I'm just going to brush it off, I guess they can do what they want. Just going to forget about it as it's only a free contest.

Lol, if you like playing in the contests that much just deposit 50 bucks, why write an email complaining.

The thing is, I said I would make a deposit yesterday and they still said I wouldn't be able to play the contests. Like I just said it's forgotten.

as long as there is plenty of money to bet with, why deposit why would a sportsbook want you to make more deposits when there is no need, which would lead to more withdrawals. more deposits , more withdrawals in a time where moving money is a pain in the ass , with the exception of bitcoin .

would make more sense to tell people who make too many withdrawals they are out of the contests instead of people who do not meet a deposit rule , YET.

what any business should want is keeping happy customers while bringing in more new customers. the bottom line is effected when there are unhappy customers. people complain more than praising anyone or anything.

just seems like a bad judgement call.

but like others here have said. it is their choice. the contests are free. it is a great sportsbook.

Just found out that I too have been shut out of Heritage contests due to " management decision ". The common thread seems to be that I don't lose enough money and therefore don't need to make deposits. Have always been happy with Heritage but I have a feeling this is a bad sign of things to come.

I think you just have to understand what books dealt with last season - they had their worst year in the NFL in 30 years. A lot of books are doing things that haven't been done before because how bad the NFL season and the year in general was for them. Things should even out long-term and this shit will happen less.

Then they need better head linesmen.

Exactly - why make a deposit if you don't have to! Is letting someone participate in a free contest really that big a deal for a book? It's not like they're giving you a straight bonus & there's no guarantee you'll win a dime in the contest. Bad PR move on their part
