Hmmm. I would expect something that is basically acting like a bank to implement some of the same controls credit card companies and banks utilize. I guess sticking to a site that doesn't have poker (potential chip dumping) and has 2fa cashouts is the trick. Thx.

None of the books I use ask for your password. They should have the same security system employed by banks and other reputable financial operations.

A telephone code is generally the means by which you can make account specific enquiry but that ought not to permit any activity on the account.

If you ring in to bet they do. Even Betfair.

I do get what he means though. Everyone seems to get to know your offshore books passwords.

Edit: actually you're right that it better. Betfair does have a phone betting specific password.

I like 2FA for sportsbooks and use 2FA on my bitcoin wallets as well.

When 5dimes closed their poker room (Sharktank skin) without notice to account holders, they asked for my poker room password to move my balance back to the sportsbook. I communicated with them via email and Livechat so they knew exactly who I was. I found this to be an inappropriate request since the pokerroom closure was initiated by them. They should have transferred poker balances back to my sportsbook account promptly upon cessation of operation of the pokerroom since this is where the original transfer of funds originated. Poor customer service IMO. I had held 5dimes in high regard until that happened. No more online poker for me unless it is a US based operation from an existing brick and mortar. Looking forward to the days of legalized sports wagering in all 50 so I do not have to endure disparaging commentary in emails from some clown in Costa Rica.
