BookMaker - extreme delay in processing withdrawal
The first time I used Bookmaker and made a withdrawal, they paid it incredibly quickly. On Sunday night I made a $3500 withdrawal request, and it still have not yet even been debited out of my account.

I can understand how processors experience delays, etc. etc.

But I think it's pretty dishonest business as an online book to not instantly debit the funds out of the player's account after they've made the request and it's being "processed." Obviously they are hoping that while we wait, we will compulsively gamble it away (and being gamblers, we are indeed compulsive).

This practice of holding onto the funds for x- period of time in the hopes the gamer will lose it before it's processed ... it may be good business, but it's dishonest business.

It also goes to show that once you deposit money at BookMaker.com or any other online book, it is no longer "your" money. It is their money. You might increase the number (and more likely decrease it). But it's not your money until it gets back into your hands.

You make a deposit, and it gets there simply and easily, hassle-free. You make a withdrawal, and there are all these delays and dishonest tactics to get between you and "their" money. It's total b.s.

I had the exact same problem. I made the request on tuesday afternoon and it just now (about 5 minutes ago) has been taken from my account. To be fair though Bookmaker has always been good to me. So I'm willing to take their word that this is just a temporary problem.

Fedex. Like I said, I get why the payments can take a while to be dispersed. My complaint though is that they are intentionally dragging their feet on debiting the amount out of my account. I think that's an incredibly dishonest way to run accounting for an online book. If a customer makes a w/ drawal, that money should be taken out of their account w/ in a reasonable time frame (24 hours max) - not kept in there in the hopes that the player will loose it before it's procesed.

Just curious, after they are processed, how long to bookmakers checks usually take to arrive?

Once a Bookmaker's manager explained to me why the funds are not taken out immediately after the request is placed.
What I understood is that in order to reduce mistakes, the kids who take our requests, do just that, take the request, the funds are taken out later on when a grown up (a manager) takes a look at it and approves it.
It looks like their software was made having that hierarchy in mind and they will not fix that soon since it would be a whole customer service restructuring.
Despite of that, according to my experience their checks take no longer than the time frame they suggest on their site.

I also asked her the reason of the 10 day waiting time frame, she said that sending money for us (the customers) once or twice a week is more discrete than for them to send large amounts of money on a daily basis to the States. Due to the nature of their business and the anti-online gaming laws they need to keep a low profile in order to protect their money processors and keep giving us their service.

I just had to get used to it.

PS. By the way we cannot blame their money processors for that but our former president "great ideas". I still remember when we could use neteller and moneybookers!
