Shitty move by a shit book. Frankly, I'm not surprised. They made the OP beg for $37. Pathetic
5Dimes just changed the line of a wager after I bet it

I've read a lot of different chat logs that players have posted on the Internet and this guy always takes the attitude that the players are trying to screw him over. As if the Bookmaker doesn't have enough of an edge given the juice involved..or the amount of money 5d makes simply thru interest by holding the players cash in their accounts..
I thought about it and it makes sense why he suspends or deletes accounts. If he knows the player likes playing at 5 dimes, he knows they'll likely sign up again. And signing up again means the player having to hit rollover marks before being allowed payouts. It basically resets the player to where the house has an advantage again.
I wasn't even a winning player, and I complained twice in 3 years (legit complaints over small amounts) and he ax'ed me. Deleted my account after I cashed out my balance. It really sucks because I had no problems with 5d. They offered the exact lines I wanted to bet. Their Bitcoin payouts were good. Everything is A grade there except customer service.Comment -

#40But in effect we all ARE trying to take his money. That is precisely the point. That is why so much of each casino's expense goes towards "game integrity and security". He has every right to be suspicious of everyone and anyone who wins for any length of time or attempts cashing out any decent amount.Comment -

#42I've been with 5 Dimes for 18 years, but this is some BS. [Yes, I know how to count, and know what I was doing in 1998]. Blatant book error, followed by book free-rolling/denying any issue, (followed by vague, inexplicable support from SBR), followed by book finally caving after severe public scrutiny. Is 5 Dimes in the the top 10% of US-facing bookmakers? Sadly, yes. Would I trust them to give me correct change after buying a slice of pizza? F*ck, no.Comment -

#44total B.S., plain and simple they robbed you. It happens and not just here. Side note, whatever you do with your money is your decision, but what are you thinking risking 17x to win 2 bucks?Comment -

#45I talked online with them and this dumb bitch said the line was correct lol....I explained to her that it could not possibly be. Plus, if +8 really was -1750, then -8 had to have been +1000 and I guarantee they would have voided that to anyone that took it
and claimed it was a bad line.
I told her I was going to start a thread at SBR and let everyone know here what a cheap ass operation they are running and hopefully those that can choose to play anywhere else (bookmaker, Pinnacle) do play somewhere else.
I don't know why $35 is so freaking important to them when it was their mistake, but hey. If they think $35 is more important than the negative publicity, then I'm more than willing to share my case.I spoke with Adrian tonight. He ran my situation by the "wagering supervisor". The wagering supervisor said that the line was 100% correct. He even admitted it was an alternative moneyline. Which the only way that is even possible is if the line was +17. The Hawks were up 17 points at halftime. It can't be any other number other than +17. Yet, it was changed to +8 and graded a loss. He then said the only person that can over-rule a wagering supervisor is Tony himself, and Tony's not around. He said, "let me take your number and I"ll text you when Tony's around". I got the same speech last night. I told him to penetrate off.
I will let SBR know how incompetent their entire staff is and how worthless they are in that they can't even fix something this fn simple.
I've had it with them. Over $35. Are you kidding me?

So ya think this was all about a line issue or some scheme to trick you into a new account? And had nothing to do with calling their staff dumb bitch, threatening to make public posts about what a worthless book they are, and telling a supervisor who offered to go out of his way to text you when it was a good time to speak to the owner to penetrate off?
Tony may be tough and rude but he is fair. As someone else posted it was kind of obvious what was going to happen the stupid way you were carrying on.
I bet you still would have got your 35 bucks had you simply spoken to Becky or Tony originally, plus still had your account there today.Last edited by Optional; 11-28-16, 04:20 AM..Comment -

#46My suggestion is wait a few days, find a time when not many games are upcoming or going on, and get back on live chat with Tony and ask him to reconsider closing your account.
He's not overly stubborn and I've seen him change his mind before when it's over trivial stuff like this appears to be..Comment -

If you want to act like this toward people, then don't cry when you get the same treatment coming right back at you. He got his pound of flesh telling the manger to penetrate off. His choice. But crying that it's all some conspiracy to cheat players into worse accounts is laughable. Guy needs to man up and accept he got just what his performance deserved.
What is it about some gamblers that think they should be able to act like douche canoes toward customer service people and it should just be ignored...Last edited by Optional; 11-28-16, 08:09 AM..Comment -

#49Rubbish. They voided his bet just like it appears they should have. And would have always done the same if he had spoken to Tony when the manager arranged for it imho. And what on earth are you talking about other people? Do you actually know anyone else that bet +8 or are you just making assumptions here? He was very likely the only one.

#50I have an update to my relationship with 5dimes.
So after Tony told me that he no longer wanted my business last month, I signed up again with my own name, address, IP address - everything the same. They gave me a new account number. I deposited $80 in bitcoins and lost it all. I then deposited $100 and ran it up to $397. Since Circle had recently stopped dealing in BitCoins, but I still had a prior Bitcoin address I had used before there, I decided to request a $50 payout from 5d just to make sure my BitCoin address still worked at Circle. After making this request, I tried to log into my 5d account the following day and couldn't. I receive an email from 5d saying that I was a banned player, and that they did not owe me any winnings and in fact would refund only my deposited amount and that I could not play there again. I get on chat with Tony and tell him that I thought I was still allowed to play, only I needed to sign up again and hit new rollover marks with a new account after they banned my old account the first time. He said I was still banned but he could reinstate my account if he chose too. I asked him if there anything I could do to still play there because I had tried some other books and felt 5d was still the best (i do primarily live betting and they are the best IMO). He said make me an offer. I said how about I give you $200? He didn't want to take my money. Instead, he said that if I made a $500 donation to my local Humane Society, that he would reinstate me along with my account being back at the $397 I had in it. I said ok that's fine. I made the donation, and screenshot the transaction. Since it was still said "pending", he wouldnt immediately reinstate me but told me to email him the screen shot when it was a finalized transaction. I said sure thing.
So basically, if you piss off 5d, you need to do something for the good of humanity in order to get back on playing there. I like Humane Society, so at least they benefit from me doing something stupid in the first place (which was complaining about $37 and losing my cool).
I guess the only thing I hope is if there's anyway SBR can make be an SBR Pro given this donation? SBR Genie said to be a pro you could only donate to Make a Wish or Angelman because it was the only way SBR could track it. I can show you guys here the same proof I did to 5d that I made the $500 donation to The Humane Society?
I basically paid $500 to charity in order to gamble at an off shore book. It doesn't get more pro degenerate than that right?Comment -
