Thought you may be interested in what they call KYC

A player won a few thousand and has been going through ID verification now since 1st July. He has supplied all the regular stuff then they started asking for hard copies to be mailed to them. Most recently they asked him a series of questions which he answered but they are now saying he must fill in the answers in own handwriting and mail to them as well.

Have a look at the questions to get an idea what sort of unreasonable overly-suspicous people they have calling themselves "security dept" in there.

Book could be ok if they would just sack this entire sec dept and employ some people who care about acting fairly and properly.

That's a complete joke. If that went up in front of a court in a reputable country, they would throw the book at them for asking all that. Data protection laws and what have you, they've broken the lot. You wouldn't get a bank or any other business or institution asking anywhere near any of that, but somehow bookmakers like this think they are the most important company on earth and above the law and think they have the right to ask for all of these details.

Optional, you can't give 1xbet the benefit of the doubt saying it is just some rogue security department that is causing all of the problems and saying that if they were sacked, everything would be ok. I would expect the culture of stalling on withdrawals and all of these sorts of dodgy policies and requests come from on high and run throughout the whole company so whether the current crop of security staff stay or not, it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever and they are still to be completely avoided at all costs.

I've dealt with them a lot with complaints over the last couple of years. My personal opinion of them is more favorable than SBR's rating for a few reasons.

They have a very large customer base. They deal with a very wide range of languages and countries other bookmakers shy away from, in part due to high fraud levels from some locations. I can see from the complaint history that they do not target particular countries or regions for harsh treatment, which I see as quite a positive thing because we see dodgy books often use the excuse that players from xyz region are cheats so this player probably is too.

The majority of complaints are caused by poor communication and the majority have been explained once we speak to a manager for the player and get an intelligible reason.

It also does not appear to matter how much money is involved. If they decide you are sus they will put you through the same ringer for $50 or $50000.

Complaints like the one above are what drive me most crazy about them though. And those emanate from the security dept making all these ridiculous demands and then taking weeks+ to even acknowledge receipt of the mailed info when players do send it. And sometimes still denying people after doing all that is asked without a proper explanation.

At most books if a sec dept sent out a request like this we could speak to a manager and say "this is not reasonable" and have a decent chance of the manager agreeing and getting the request dropped.

But every attempt to question the tactics or motives of this security dept result in our management contact unable to do anything about it.

Personally, I would not play at 1xbet as I would not be prepared to comply with their KYC stuff. But I think they genuinely believe they need to act this way and it is not designed as a way to scam more profits. After dealing with many many books it's just 'weird' how the security dept seems to run the place.

Oh yeah. One other big reason I think the sec dept tail wags the dog here.

Their standard emails are obviously written by someone with a bad attitude toward players.

If the marketing dept had any power at all they would fix them. They aren't just bad but obnoxiously terrible.

If someone who cared about looking fair and professional took over the place I personally think it could be a top international book.

I'm sure the managers and directors upon high would have seen the complaints rolling in and the obviously stupid requests they are making but they have made no changes to this and more and more outlandish requests keep on coming. That tells me that the higher up management don't care about the treatment of customers and don't want to change things and that rings big alarm bells for me. Whether they change their KYC processes or not, I certainly won't be depositing a penny with them. I simply do not buy that this security department has all power over everyone in 1xbet and if somebody high up really wanted to change how they treat customers, they would do that, but they haven't done anything and that says it all for me really that this is a dodgy company that doesn't care on how it treats customers, will find ways to stall or not pay withdrawals and they are not to be trusted whatsoever.

This player in post #5 reports that there has been no acknowledgement of receiving the hand written questionnaire he mailed to them about 6 weeks ago now.

No replies to his emails asking for help.
