If you get a check payout do you have to be there to sign for it or do they just leave it at your door?

I had to sign for it and they told me I would have to be there to sign. If you are worried about them leaving it there (I would be because what if something happened? Then it would just be drama cancelling it and waiting on another check) if they will even do that or you can always leave a note on your door and ask to pick it up at the Fed Ex location.Comment
