New Youngling trying betting for the first time (topbet.eu)
Hey guys, I'm just a new young person trying sports betting for the first time (in the United States). I had made a account on Bovada.lv and topbet.eu. I haven't had money to start so I haven't put any money down yet, but 1 night topbet up fronted me 25 dollars in to my account with out me even having to make a 50 dollar deposit! (50% bonus). So in 3-4 or so days I've ramped up the 25 buks in around 1k and so I called topbet to try to withdraw. They said that I had to make a deposit first (no supose there) but that I had to send them a picture of my drivers license via to there support email. Is this normal for all websites to ask for. Ive been really paranoid about this and lost sleep the past few days not knowing what to do wondering if it's a scam. I don't want someone to steal my information etc. Anyone have withdrawing experience from them? Would be much appreciated. Once I get the money though off that site I think I want to use bovada, the live betting feature looks pretty cool and good $$ making. If anyone could help me and calm my nerves it would be sooo awesome thank you !

    Hi Alexdaranger,

    Welcome to SBR Forum.

This is a common request which is part of the sportsbook's KYC (Know Your Customer) process. KYC is needed to establish compliance and also combat ID fraud. SBR has an article on the subject.

Topbet has been around a long time. SBR has the betting site rated at C.

Feel free to let us know how it goes with Topbet. If you run into any issues, you can submit a sportsbook complaint form and an analyst here will follow up on the issue for you.

And if you're searching for a betting site with particular features, you might find the sportsbook rating guide to be a good resource.
