is this legit? re: live betting at betonline
I was doing live betting and it appeared the odds had gotten stuck (for the entire match). I think the odds should have been around -500 (that's what they were on another book). They accepted my bet at +150. My bet lost. The odds got stuck for the whole match so I ended up betting the other side of the same bet after I knew the outcome, just to see that the odds were stuck, and they were still accepting bets.

The book gave me a loss on the first bet and "canceled" my second bet. There is no way they would have paid me on the first bet as the odds were "obviously" wrong (per their terms). Is this legit? They accepted both the bets.

    Site is betonline.ag

you should not have bet an obvious bad line. but still they should void all bets. i'm sure you are not alone. others probably went thru similar circumstances. like to hear what happened to them. you may want to think about playing at a better sportsbook.

thanks for the reply. should I try complaining about it, and saying it should be voided because it was a bad line? I'm assuming they won't listen - should I try live chat or e-mail?

i would not say it was a bad line. would ask why both were not voided. i do not play there. hopefully someone who plays there will be able to help you out about the best way to handle it there. if after talking to them and they still do not void both bets i would file a complaint here at SBR. either way like i mentioned before - play at a better sportsbook.if your not in the US you have so many better choices - in the US 5dimes-heritage or even as much as i don't like bookmaker, they are way better than betonline. good luck

both bets now will be void. now that there is a spotlight on the situation. wonder how many others got taken on this and will not get their bets reviewed.

Betonline told us last time that everyones rollover should be reset after busting out and that they are working on the software so its reflected that way. They said it only happens under certain circumstances and that anyone who sees that should let them know so they can manually correct.

i had a similar situation with betonline a while back, basically they canceled a live bet that i placed well after i placed the bet, (after my bet went from a dog to a huge favorite) and they said that their odds were frozen. but the odds were pretty much in line with what other books had at the time. i filed a complaint but never heard back from sbr.

I wanted to follow up on this and say a big THANKS to SBR and Betonline. They credited back my account with the bet that should have been voided ($100).

fantastic - hope everyone on both sides of that bet got treated the same - next time you see a bad line i hope you can control yourself.

here is a link to the thread: http://forum.sbrforum.com/sportsbook...ine-error.html

in the end i called betonline and got in contact with the right person. i wasn't ultimately satisfied with what they offered me, but it was the best option available to me. now it's like 9 months later, and i doubt sbr would be able to do anything.

since that happened they have done things like let my bet countdown until the next play starts, then accept the bet once the play is blatantly over and my bet already lost (this was in nfl, will the next play be a run play or pass play). i do a lot of my live betting at other books instead now because you can't trust betonline live betting to be honest, and sbr wasn't there to back me up so it was kind of a lose/lose
