Does what a customer service representative say on chat override the book rules?
Won't name the book, I wager a 2 team parlay. After this I placed an if win only rolling if wager connected to the 2 team parlay. 1 of the games gets cancelled while the other 1 is taking place and 1 leg of the parlay is no action. Now not being sure about whether my if wager will have action I go on chat and I confirm with the customer service representative that my if wager will not no action due to 1 leg of the parlay pushing. Thinking my 2nd wager will be no action I place another wager on the game. After the games are finished I log in to see that my rolling if wager was not cancelled but instead had action. The play lost and after getting on chat I was told as long as I had enough money my wager would have action. Now I double check with the rules section and indeed they do make a mention of the rolling if wager rules. My only issue here is that I was misinformed by the chat and would have never replaced the 2nd wager had I been told the rules correctly. So do I have a case here or not?

      The rules are the rules.

Just because the idiot rep didn't know them doesn't override the rules.

So I guess the SBR stand on this is that customers should know the rules for sportsbooks better than the people who work with customers for sportsbooks?
so what SBR suggests is that big sportsbooks like Ladbrokes which has millions of customers they all have to know the T&Cs but the 50 people who work in CS do not? why ask CS anything then if it in reality does not mean anything? Why even communicate with CS if they can tell you whatever they want and not be responsible for it? So you ask them if the bet will be voided and they tell you yes and after your bet loses they take your money and that is OK? LOL

if you selected if-win-only then no you won't have action.

if you selected if-win-or-push, then you will and should.

I wouldnt be too happy with the fact that the only reason I placed the bet was I was misinformed by the primate of a representative

Imo the book should take responsibility for hiring a monkey
