Quick Q re Stan James Palpable Error rules

Yeah it's really looks like a mistake/p.error i see next price 4.50
I also have same case with SJames but it was on DOuble chance from 1.57 to 1.27

I thought there was a reasonable chace it would be a palpable error, but as I backed it when the sites were pricing up I could be sure. There was 2 other sites offering 6.0 and only 5 sites on betrescue showing odds at the time. I dont mind it being palped, and I dont really mind if they refuse to cancel it at the new odds. I just thought when a bet is struck there are strict rlues around palpable errors. Either they cancel it, or by mutual consent they will let it ride on agreed new terms (odds). I didnt think they were allowed to just adjust the odds down without giving the player a chance to have the bet cancelled.

That is a disgraceful rule, with no basis in contract law.

I had the same 3 weeks ago with an asian handicap, I emailed them and said

1) Those terms were not the ones I signed up to as they have been changed since I joined

2) Under no terms did I except the bet at the new price, and that I was informing them of this (obviously) before the event, and that they could a) cancel the bet or b) honour the price and anything else would result in a complaint to the licensing authority.

They cancelled the bet , but they then limited my account, so I didnt really gain much.

As a matter of interest, Ladbrokes have the rule that if they display the prices the wrong way round, you are on the selection on which the odds you have taken are correct. They give you the option to cancel though.
