Nordicbet operations will move to Malta
I recieved an Email from Nordicbet (SBR Rated C+) today telling me that they will be moving their operations to Malta effective Dember 30, 2008. Below I have attached a copy of the letter that gives all the details.

    Dear Customer,

We are pleased to announce that on 30 December 2008 Nordicbet.com operations will move to Malta. Our Sportsbook, Poker and Casino products are all now licensed there.

Malta has successfully established itself as a serious and well-regulated European Union remote gaming jurisdiction. Our customers will thus benefit from the reputability of the Maltese jurisdiction, including the possibility to avoid double taxation on their winnings within the EU.

Our servers will be unavailable during the move from 00:00 CET Tuesday, 30 December 2008. Please bear in mind that this downtime will affect all our products. We expect the operations to be back up and running by 10:00 CET Tuesday, 30 December 2008.

Due to the move, your current customer contract concluded with either Norinvest Ltd of Cyprus or Betpoint Ltd of Isle of Man, depending on the product, will have to be assigned to Nordic Gaming Limited (licensed and incorporated in Malta with reg. no. C 37993). As for any pending bets you have placed, we note that Nordic Odds Ltd (licensed and incorporated in Malta with reg. no. C 38454) accepts to take over the liability for all pending bets with Betpoint Ltd.

You will have the opportunity to consent to this assignment as well as to our updated terms and conditions when logging onto your Nordicbet.com account on 30 December 2008. Should you wish to withdraw your funds from your account, we confirm that you may do so at that time.

Yurrrgh, Malta. That essentially means no regulation at all - they're completely in the bookies' pockets (and until recently, the head of the Maltese regulator was a major financial player behind the ISP supplying most of them).
