Sportsbook.com withdrawals AND looking for a new book that also has poker
Hi there, new poster. Just discovered this forum a few weeks ago, like many of you after I realized I was probably going to be in for a long wait with my withdrawal from sportsbook.com.
It's now quite obvious that this is the case with EVERYONE who has used the site.
Couple questions because you all seem to have good advice:

    1) Seems that sites like The Greek and BetJamaica are held in the highest regard, especially with withdrawals. However, I really enjoyed the aspect of sportsbook.com that allowed for poker play. And not just that but people were actually playing. Bodog touts itself as a poker site but often times all the tables were near empty. I was VERY surprised initially with how many people were playing poker on sportsbook.com. But no matter, if I can't get paid my winnings. So... any reccomendations on a strong sportsbook that actually pays you in a timely manner, offers poker, and has a good number of players? I realize this may not exist to all three parameters as you would think I would have heard of it if there was.

As far as the sportsbook.com issues:

    2) I still have some funds in sb.com, they said I am not eligible for a *********** account yet. And if you got to the *********** website you can't just sign up for an account. How did you guys do this? Did you just have to wait until the offer was extended to you? Seems like that is the route to go to withdraw from SB.com.

    3) Once my check does arrive I am going to deposit it into my savings so that I won't touch it until it clears. How long do I need to wait to ensure that it has cleared.

    4) Lastly, I requested my check beginning of December, says it's still pending. I realize this is the norm, but has anyone done a check withdrawal around this same time period (or anytime in November) with anything to report?

    Appreciate it.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum

Sorry to hear of your current slow pay situation, however Sportsbook.com has been having some massive processing issues since the early summer months. However their is hope for you sir, because a few SBR posters have reported that they have received checks from them during the month of December. Below I have listed the most recent ones.

SBR poster kingbee reports (1 post) that he received payment from Sportsbook.com (SBR Rated D-) on 12/15/08

SBR poster MSUSpartan32 reports that he received payment from Sportsbook.com (SBR Rated D-) on 12/17/08
Now as far as looking for a book that offers poker goes. You might want to checkout either Bookmaker (SBR Rated A+) or Wsex (SBR Rated A+).

bookmaker.com i was referred to by staff and I have been happy with them, use affiliate code "20%bonus" and you can get a bonus of 20% if you deposit, a small but growing poker room with daily freerolls and the ability to gamble on sports as well as play poker. My only option because I live in the U.S.

ps. I had the same issues with sportsbook and my payout took about 7 weeks I recieved it but it took forever, so I would feel confident to get paid but you will be waiting for some time, sucks too cause that poker room is easy as hell because everyone gives up on getting paid and gambles their money away.

Intertops poker room is the closes thing to SB.com, but nothing is ever going to compare to paradise poker. Plus Intertops will pay you in a timely manner with less hassle that SB.com.

I'm new to this forum and my only experirence is with bodog... I have only cashed one check and that i recieved within 2 weeks of requesting. I only play poker on the .05/.10 and .25/.50 tables and always find them mostly full.

I have to admit that i am surprised to not see more mention of bodog on here... there are 5 of us at work that all joined bodog about same time and were all happy to date.

It is bit inconvenient to use ewallet to transfer deposits into bodog, but bodog usuall gives a %10 bonus on deposits which makes up for the ewallet fee. Not sure, but I believe bodog is running a %20 bonus on deposits now.

          just my 2 cents...
