Who didn't get paid out? They need to come forward. Unless you are just telling lies, which seems like what is going on here.
Tomato. Tom (a) to. Don't get too hung up on the words bro. The guy "closed shop" because he was taking a loss, which could also be considered going under.

I get what you are saying, but it makes it sound like he went bust and everyone got stiffed. Especially because a guy then came in here and claimed just that. That didn't happen.

He closed shop and paid everyone out. He said that he was closing up because he had done nothing but lose on MLB, more sophisticated competitors with the same anonymous betting model had sprung up, and basketball was coming to a close. He could have been a scumbag and free rolled people, but he didn't. That's why it's important not to let waldroprob's claims go unchallenged.

And if people did indeed get stiffed, I sure as hell want to hear about it. The guy who ran the book said he is moving onto other bitcoin related business ventures.

going under has different inferences than closing shop. Going under to me means massive loses. Closing shop may have different overtones

I wager bitcoins but realize the dangers in doing so

dangers? lolol, where have you been? Tell the BetIslands people about the Dangers of bitcoin. And the other numerous trainwrecks in the offshore world.

I get it, most guys aren't very technical and don't understand bitcoin. But to hide your head in the sand like SBR has done and delete informative threads is a joke, they are dinosaurs missing the largest technology innovation in recent history, and it's small but growing impact on online gambling.

As far as bitcoin volatility, if you bought bitcoin anytime in the last 4 years except for 2-3 days, you have made a ton of money. Too bad some guys were prevented from learning about it because of SBR lunacy.

Consider yourself VERY lucky if you got paid. Check the forum again, someone came forward being owed 170+ BTC...I'm sure there are others. Why do you think he suddenly closed, he obviously got in over his head. Anyway, glad you got paid man, but that is not the case for all. Everyone needs to be very careful with these new BTC books.

Blockbet.net closing down is another black mark on sportsbooks that cater to the bitcoin crowd. Blockbet canceled outstanding bets on the NBA playoffs, an act no reputable sportsbook would ever consider. There is also a report that Blockbet did not pay out 172 bitcoins from one bettor’s Saturday actions, totaling over $24,000 based on bitcoin’s $140 price.
