    I just don't get it
Constantly see posts on here that they got scammed by bet____ insert name here. I even see it from long time posters who should know better. Don't know about international players but for US players:

    BetJm
    Carib
    5Dimes
    TheGreek
    Matchbook
Betonline (not as speedy payouts, but will pay, and you get the reduced juice)
    Bookmaker

Why play anywhere else is beyond me... 7 options not enough?

    It's all about money.

Without getting into an analysis of your list, I would say that if those books do everything you want, then that's great. Stick with it.

Some players get into other books for money-making reasons. One obvious reason is bonuses. Also there is the variety of lines for line shopping - which is a crucial issue for bettors whether it be for capping, arbing, middling or whatever.

So if a sophisticated player sees a book that is not on your list offering something that appears useful, he will do a risk/reward analysis. If he is smart he will be keeping an eye on this forum and talk to professionals.

As far as I'm concerned, knowing what is going on with a lot of sportsbooks is a key part of the job. Using more than just those books on your list has made me a lot of money.

Personally I have never been stiffed by a sportsbook. But if it happened today, I would still be way ahead long-term because of my use of books not on your list. That is what risk/reward is all about.

But just as some people are weak at capping, some people are weak at determining risk/reward. They can't learn from the past or they are gullible and believe shills. Or they just make a calculated decision to accept more risk and it doesn't work out. That's where you see those STIFFS.

Some books not on the list offer large bonuses 25-100% from time to time.

Those books suck for soccer, and (excepting 5dimes) tennis. Pinnacle covers both of those bases though.

Personally I play at a huge number of books, but risk management is pretty important then. I've never been stiffed or screwed in any way, although had to get SBR's aid for a slow payout at IAS, and a couple of Aussie books went bust (but both paid out no problem in the end). The benefit of this approach is pretty simple: on average, you'll get a few % higher prices than sticking with a safe 5 or 10. A few % over several thousand bets results in bucketloads more winnings.

Some people are lower stakes players and/or under 21. Having to deposit $300 to get a bonus or minimum wager of $10 isn't good for bankroll management. 5Dimes is also very hard to deposit to.
