I want to leave Bodog and switch books...
but I'm not sure where to go. I've been reading through the forums for a couple hours now and have checked multiple books out but I'm not sure what I'm looking for exists. What I want to be able to do is:

~Parlaying multiple sports (essential for MMA)
~Ability to buy points (Bodog fails miserably here)
~Posting lines at a reasonable time (Again Bodog, you suck)
~Easy experience to deposit (want to be able to bet immediately, not way days for the transaction to process)
~Somewhat easy experience to cashout with no fees (Bodog’s 20 day period is manageable)
    ~$1 minimum bet
~Can’t be a shady book that’ll either go under or screw me over one way or another

All of this seems possible but the $1 minimum bet is the kicker. This is only necessary to minimize the damage that my mother can do when I let her use my account to bet on Tennis or the winner of “American Idol”. BetUS hit every criterion except this one and I’m not going to waste even more money than I do now.

So the question is, does a book like this exist? BetJamaica is close and where I’m leaning but it’s not perfect. I’m going to keep looking but hopefully someone who knows the answer sees this and can save me the hassle of checking out every book online. The alternative solution would obviously be to keep some change in the Bodog account for my mum and move the bulk of my money to a new account but I’m really trying to break free and clear from Bodog.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I will, thank you. I was starting to settle on BetJamica but I'll check them out right now.

        Tweets-
I checked out BetED, what's your personal experience with them? I read the archives on SBR and it kind of worries me. When it comes to dealing with money, I think having any spots on your reputation should immediately disqualify you.

BetJam is great. Maybe doesn't have everything you want, but I cannot think of a book that does.

Two quick questions about BetJam if you don't mind me asking. Do they have lines for MMA and do they allow multi-sport parlays? Their website doesn't say anything about parlays and I'm unable to access any of the lines because I don't have an account.

            Thanks,
            Governor

*Nevermind about the lines, my script blocking wasn't allowing them to come up. I see that they don't have lines for MMA though and that's an absolute deal breaker for me. Contrary to my signature, 80% of my money is made on MMA.

I have never had any problems with BetED, I started with them because they took US Credit cards. They also have $1 bets, free cashout once a month by check, lines may not be the fastest to get up, but they are probably middle of the road. You can buy points and they have MMA lines. Multi sport parlays are also accepted.

Ight, thanks Tweets. I'll give their site a thorough look over now. I was sold on BetJamaica before but because they don't have MMA lines, they're a no go.

Oh yeah forgot to mention, I find BetED to be a very user friendly site as well. You can flip between sports easily and it shows what you have picked before you make your bets.

When did BetED post the lines for the Ball St. game tonight? Just trying to gauge on when they post their lines. Bodog for example posted their line a mere 24 hours before the game and it led to a much crappier line.

Both Carib (SBR Rated B) and Intertops (SBR Rated B+) would be two other options that would fit your criteria sir.

FWIW: 5Dimes (SBR Rated A) offers everything your seeking with the exception of the everything but the easy deposit method, however their is a way around that if you signup for [SBRFORUM]*************[/SBRFORUM].

Thank you everyone for all your help so far; I greatly appreciate it.

Dan, I actually have an account on intertops (through some promotion they gave me $25 for free without having to make a deposit) and they unfortunately only allow you to parlay a handful of sports (I want to say football, basketball, and soccer). I'll check out Carib and 5Dimes right now though. I've never seen Carib's site before but I do slightly remember 5Dimes when I initially started this search. Their deposit method unfortuantely turned me away but it might be a sacrifice I have to make to get away from Bodog.

                          No problem sir.

Another thing you might want to keep in mind is this. 5Dimes will allow you to use the echeck option after you are with them for 90 days. So that's something else you might want to keep in mind.

DAMN IT! lol. I just saw the Echeck option and was ecstatic because i thought I found my new book. I wasn't sure if this was something new or if I somehow miss this the first time around but if there's a 90 day stipulation, it's irrelevant for my first deposit. Way to be a dream crusher Dan

Dan, they mention on their website that you must wait 90 days to deposit by credit card but say nothing about a wait time for Echeck so I'm going to cross my fingers, sign up, and hope it works. While signing up, they ask for a marketing code and was wondering if there was any that'll throw some money to SBR and (more importantly) myself. Thanks in advance.

Well, You did mention above that you were considering BetJamaica and they too have the same 90 day rule as well sir. So I assumed you pretty much were Ok with that stipulation, but I guess not.

With BetJamaica I didn't even make it as far as the deposit page. Once i saw that they didn't offer MMA, they were crossed off the list.

But the marketing code on 5Dimes, is it anything of importance? If not, I'm just going to skip it and hope for the best. Thanks again for helping me out, it's definitely making this search much easier.

I dont know exactly but it was up either Sunday night or Monday morning. I know it started around 16.5 so whenever that line was relevant.

You can parlay multiple sports at bodog, you have to add your play to picks and then you can parlay it, though it is a little more of a hassle than most books.

I forget exactly because I am banned from betting online in the book if you used add to picks you should be able to figure it out.

I know I can. They also have $1 min bets and have a manageable payout system. My problem is that their lines suck, they're not posted quick enough, and I can't buy points. That's why I'm trying to find a new book.

5Dimes is where I'm leaning now with BetJamaica a distant second. 5Dimes is sweet except they're making me deposit via Western Union and couldn't tell you where the closest one was. BetJamaica is solid too but it kind of bothers me that their CS are completely clueless when it comes to sports. Having a general knowledge doesn't cut it.
