I am considering adding them to the 5-6 books I presently use. Can anyone provide any info. about them -- specifically, deposits and withdrawals from/to the US? I do not see bank wire as a listed deposit option on their website, which is a concern. Thanks.

#2First off, Welcome to the SBR Forum
Yes they do accept bank wires from U.S. players, however you have to call to obtain that info sir. Below is a transcript via their live chat feature service I just had with Sheila from BetPhoenix a few minutes:
Sheila Rosario: Hello, welcome to our live support service, how can I help you?
GUEST: Hi, I was just looking at your banking options and I didn't see anything about Bank wires as a means of deposit. My question do you accept bank wires for both deposit and withdraws?
Sheila Rosario: may I know your account number?
GUEST: I haven't signed up with your establishment as of yet.
GUEST: trying to obtain some funding info before making my decision
Sheila Rosario: we only accept western union and money gram
GUEST: So no bank wire options are available. Any idea on a possible time frame in regards to when your company might start offering that option?
Sheila Rosario: and that is the also the way we can send you money if you want a withdraw
Sheila Rosario: please hold
GUEST: k
Sheila Rosario: please sign up and my manager told me that you can be able to deposit thru bank wire
Sheila Rosario: but do you live in USA?
GUEST: Yes, I do live in the states.
Sheila Rosario: ok,
GUEST: So bank wires are an option if I reside in the U.S.?
Sheila Rosario: please sign up and contact us again
Sheila Rosario: yes
Sheila Rosario: we will give you the information that you need to deposit
GUEST: Ok, Thank you for your assistance to my questions. Have a nice day, Cya
Sheila Rosario: youre welcome

#4I have also been thinking about getting in at BP. I have been impressed with their professionalism in their presence on the forum. It looks like Canadians can deposit via Moneybookers so that part is good.
My main concern is website performance. I have heard terrible things about it.
If anyone could weigh in on the current state of that, I would be interested.Comment -

#7The one good thing about the racebook, is even though they shut the race off about 2 mins before the actual post time, they have a countdown clock to their own in house post time, which is at least decent.
No reason to get shut out.Comment -

#10Plus it's just slighty over-optimistic to say that, because there's a new platform, that means all problems are a thing of the past.
Over my years in the industry, I have seen some new platforms that were pretty serious lemons.
But let's hope not.
I was talking to a couple players since I started this thread and they reinforced what has been repeatedly reported on this forum. Some irritating clunkiness going on. It sounds like you can make your plays but it just isn't as smooth as you would want.
It sucks if that is really due to DDOS attacks. I started hearing about those, like, 6 weeks ago or more. That's really dragging on.Comment -

#12Strange: since I joined I've never seen the site down, or even lag at all. Usually us Euros are the first to get cut off by the ddos defences.Comment -

#13yes they give dime lines. i opened an acct at beginning of baseball because they offer some baseball props that others don't, specifically number of home runs per game or hits per game. in football they also offer some good props; number of t.d's per team and per game, and sometimes their team totals differ from other books by as much as a point. i took a withdrawal in september which i asked for on a tuesday and two checks arrived on that thursday. its my favorite book since the demise of betonsports.Comment -

#16Received a prize from a contest and currently playing there for a couple of days, they do offer overnight lines and my experience has been positive so-far. I did have to notify the company that there were know NBA Lines for almost and hour yesterday, which they got fixed about 10 mins before the game I was trying to lay on, but the test is always pay-outs cant give a true assessment until then, but good so-far.Comment
