#8962Small play on Getafe DNB @ -105 at home to Athletic Bilbao...
Bilbao have never managed to win at Getafe in 9 attempts and Getafe are going for club record 5th consecutive win. Bilbao will also be without Ibai, Munain, and Kike Sola.Comment -

#8972Call me crazy but I'm backing NEC DNB @ -192 away at Eindhoven in Cup game tomorrow! NEC will be without Haitz and Stefanik, and Koolwijk is doubtful. But Eindhoven will be without defender N'Toko (10 apps, 3 goals), and three strikers - Makiavala (7 apps, 4 goals), van den Hurk (12 apps, 4 goals), & Lagouireh (13 apps, 4 goals). Those four players combined have scored 13 out of Eindoven's total 24 goals so far this season. I'm hoping that NEC start Higdon just on basis that they will want to continue the good habits/momentum from the Heerenveen game and get another win to build confidence. A game like this would also give likes of Higdon a good opportunitity to get on score-sheet and further build his own confidence.
NEC had Cmovs, Roorda, Diarra, Foor, Stutter, and Jahanbakhsh on bench against Heerenveen so I imagine most of them will start which isnt too bad as they are still pretty decent compared to Eerste Divisie standards. If Higdon and Jantscher aren't on teamsheet tomorrow then I will be worried though!Comment -

"If you ask me if I am one of the best strikers in the world, I say yes because I believe it. When I see that other strikers score a lot of goals, I realise I need to score those goals. But I think everything else in my game is right. Even if I believe I can still improve. But the goals are the last thing I need to add and when I do I believe I will be the player I want to be. One of the best."Comment -

But yeah, crazy contract.... Absolutely laughable that Wenger gave him that much
If Özil gets 130.000 per week, Bendtner should get 5000 max.

#8981Valladolid/Sociedad Over 2 goals @ -181...
Last 12 games head-to-head have had at least 3 goals - stretches all the way back to 1999 so this will probably end up being 0-0 or 1-0 of course! Sociedad games haven't been goal-fests so far this season which is a concern with the average goals per game involving them being just 2.10 - only Granada are lower. Sociedad will be without key defender Inigo which may help, and with Vela, Griezmann, and Seferovic in attack you have to think that Sociedad will be able to score at least once.Comment -

#8984Brazil footballer Joao Rodrigo Silva Santos BEHEADED then severed head left on his doorstep
30 Oct 2013 11:32His horrified wife found the head - with the eyes and tongue had been cut out - but the rest of his body is still missing
Beheaded: Joao Rodrigo Silva Santos
TV Globo
A former professional footballer's head has been severed and left on the doorstep of his home in a rucksack.
The horrified wife of Joao Rodrigo Silva Santos, 35, made the gruesome discovery as she left the house in Rio de Janeiro for work early yesterday morning.
The player's eyes and tongue had been cut out and his head placed inside one of his own rucksacks, police said.
Mr Santos retired from football two years ago after a successful career playing for several teams in Rio de Janeiro, as well as for clubs in Sweden and Honduras.
He had recently set up his own business selling health foods and dietary supplements.
Police said today that Mr Santos is believed to have been snatched as he closed up his shop late on Monday night.
Witnesses said they saw several men bundling him into his car, a Hyundai i30, and speeding off just before midnight, a spokesman said.
Mr Santos' brother-in-law, who didn't want to be named, told Brazil's Globo G1 website that the player's wife, Geisa Silva, 31, stayed up all night after her husband failed to arrive home.
He said: "Every time a car passed by she would go to see.
"She was getting ready to go to work at around 5.30am when she heard a noise, opened the front door and saw his rucksack. When she opened it, it was his head.
"From what I know, he didn't have any enemies and neither did his wife."
Investigators are probing whether Mr Santos was murdered by a drugs gang because of Ms Silva's work at a military police base in a local slum.
The 'Police Pacification Unit' in the Morro do Sao Carlos is one of dozens set up in Rio's favelas to retake control of the city's slums from violent drug traffickers.
However, according to police chief Rafael Rangel, Mrs Silva worked as a social worker in the base and didn't patrol the streets or make arrests like other police officers.
He told Brazil's O Dia newspaper the motives of the murder are still unclear.
He said: "Mrs Silva has no idea who would have done this.
"Neither she, her husband or any other member of the family have suffered any type of threat as far as she knows.
"There is nothing that would justify such a barbarous crime."
He added that police have begun searching for the rest of Mr Santos' body.

#8990Im on Man City at home to Norwich though (as stated!), not the LEague Cup game tonight at Newcastle. I might bet live on that one but Newcastle might be more motivated as it's at home and might take League Cup more seriouslyComment -

#8991All four top teams (City,Tot,Arsenal,Chelski) seem to be taking the league cup seriously this year, can expect the same kinda lineups most likely that Chelsea & Arsenal put up last night, and then with Aguero,Silva and so on ready to jump in if things aint going according to plan.
City will be surely motivated after the bitter defeat @ Chelsea on sunday, doubt they want to take two road defeats with them heading into the next weekend (and CL the week after) they need to build momentum for that.Comment -

#8992yeah Man City will want to rebound, and they have a great record against Newcastle in recent years...won 8 on the bounce, and each of last 6 have been by more than a 1 goal difference, and are unbeaten in last 14 game against the Toon I believe. I dont know if it's so much that teams are taking it more seriously this season but more that teams like Chelsea, Tottenham and City have got such great depth this season that even if they rest 7 or 8 regulars they still have a top quality replacements. Arsene Wenger admitted that he had to put out a stronger side than he'd of liked to because they were playing at home against a big London rival so didnt want to let the fans down. If you look at the players Tottenham had on the bench at home to Hull on Sunday it is quite amazing compared to last season with likes of Dembele, Eriksen, Defoe, Naughton, Lamela, Sigurdsson, and Brad Friedel, all of whom will probably start tonight.Comment -

#8993Yeah, several of the clubs have definetly got a leg up on the rest of the competition, Chelsea's depth more then anything is UNREAL
Feel bad for Hull man, with all the injurys they have at the moment they'll likely be forced to field the same people that played on sundayComment -
