Pending plays for wknd:

One play I've locked in but is a few weeks away is Ajax -1 A.H. @ -103 at home to AZ Alkmaar in the Super Cup.
AZ have lost their two best players in midfielder Adam Maher and striker Jozy Altidore. Maher has signed for PSV and was AZ's main creative threat last season, while Altidore is signing for Sunderland, and he was the key player for AZ last season notching 23 goals and 4 assists in the league. Ajax have struggled against AZ over last couple of years winning just 1 out of last 6 games, however, a big part of this has been down to Altidore's goals - he has scored 5 out of the last 7 total goals that AZ have scored against Ajax in last 3 matches. This Super Cup Final will be played at Amsterdam Arena as well so will be like a home game for Ajax. I've only put a £100 on it at moment as Ajax may still lose some key players before end of month with the futures of Siem De Jong, Toby Alderweireld, and Christian Eriksen still up in the air. Ajax have made a decent signing in Bojan Krkic on loan though as replacement for Ryan Babel who has left for Kasimpasa and his style could be perfect for Ajax, and should cause the clumsy Eredivisie defenders a lot of problems this season if he gets enough game time.

I also think Bayern takes the Supercup, and over 2,5 also makes sense..they are far to strong for any opposition this season

Dodgy start but Brno now cruising 3-1 up. Fading newly promoted sides that aren't great away from home is working well so far. Should of gone bigger than £100 on this

Eredivisie plays for this weekend so far:
Ajax -2.25 A.H. @ -112 at home to Roda (to win 1 unit)...
Ajax should really be winning this by at least 3 goal difference. Roda have lost their most important player from last season Malki who was their top scorer. Also their most important midfielder Fledderus who saved them from relegation last season after scoring two late goals against Sparta will be out due to suspension. After only drawing 1-1 at home last season against Roda, I don't believe complacency or under-estimation of Roda will play a part. Aside from that draw at Ajax, Roda were woeful away from home last season collecting just 7 points, and conceding 51 goals (the most in the league).
AZ Alkmaar win/draw @ -189 away at Heerenveen (risk 1 unit)...
Can't resist this after seeing AZ's impressive counter-attacking performance against Ajax. Obviously they will struggle at times this season without Altidore and Maher, but they have shored up their defence with the signings of Gouweleeuw from Heerenveen, and Wuytens from Utrecht. They have some solid midfielders in new signing Gudelj, Elm, Henriksen, Ortiz, Overtoom, and Martens who has finally returned from injuries. And in attack they have Johannson who might not offer the same physical presence that Altidore offered, but still has potential to score goals in this side, alongside Beerens and Gudmundsson who will offer support on the wings in a 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 type formation.
Heerenveen on the other-hand aren't going in to the season in great shape with a combination of in-house political bickering going on between Van Basten and Directors, and lack of signings resulting in a not-so-positive outlook on the season. In addition to losing aforementioned Gouweleeuw to AZ, they have also lost two key attacking players from last season in influential play-maker Duricic (32 apps, 7 goals, 4 assists), and winger El-Ghannasy (14 apps, 4 goals, 3 assists) who gave them a boost in second-half of last season with his pace and flair. Also, combative midfielders Sven Kums (30 apps, 2 goals last season), and Joey van den Berg (15 apps) will both be unavailable.
Other plays I'm considering are:
Zwolle +1 A.H. @ -178 at home to Feyenoord and/or Over 3 goals @ -103;
Zwolle beat Feyenoord 3-2 at home last season and there has been at least 3 goals in each of the 3 occasions that Feyenoord have played Zwolle away. Zwolle have lost their top scorer from last season Avdic which might reduce their attacking threat slightly, however, they have Nijland and Guyon Fernandez whom could end up being very shrewd or absolutely disastrous acquisitions. Might be better to wait and watch the game and make a live bet on the over depending on how the game is looking. But ultimately Zwolle are much better going forward than they are defensively, and we should see them score quite a lot of goals this season (for a club of their level's standards at least), but also concede quite a few. Their artificial turf also plays a part, obviously some teams and players aren't to fond of playing on it.
Cambuur PK @ -156 at home to NAC Breda;
I'm not sure if it's worth playing Cambuur PK at these odds, I think I'd need it to be nearer -125 to -135 range. They were very solid at home last season, losing just 1 game and that superb home record is why they ended up winning the Eerste Divisie. However, they haven't made any significant signings, with Brands, van Morsel, and Feldballe all being players that didnt feature regularly for their previous clubs. The key here is that NAC will probably be without key player Anthony Lurling which is very significant. Again might be best to wait and potentially live-bet this one depending on how it's looking. It may well be that a well-established Eredivisie side like NAC are a level above the newly promoted side and dominate possession even without the influential Lurling.

At some point this week before Ajax/Roda season opener on Friday, I will post a quite lengthy Eredivisie "preview" that I have been compiling over past couple months...basically my ramblings and predictions, just to see how far off I am at end of season!
