A little? Did you see all the goals scored in the 2nd half?
I'm sorry. I wasn't going to comment on this because I know people hate hearing that games are fixed, especially when it involves a team from the beloved Premier League. So, I will leave it to the soccer experts to comment...
I was Twente +.5 in this one, and that makes me a little biased...but I'm not sure I've ever seen that many penalties awarded in a game I actually watched.
Wasn´t fixed, just think the ref was intimidated and overwhelmed by the atmosphere and home crowd at White Heart Lane. So when they´re all screaming for a penalty he will easier give one.
Referees are payed off regularly, even in big games that you would never dream of corruption, but it happens and the public only start complaining when they actually see the facts, unlike some who already know and move on to take advantage.
I can't remember a home team getting 3 pk's in a CL game. Pretty sad when the referee is by far the worst man on the pitch, but I guess there's about a 1 in 23 chance. Fix? Probably not. Highway robbery? Probably.
