Seen a lot of predictions for a draw in this one. I think the UNDER is better than Everton. I can see Liverpool "surprising" with a 1-0 or 2-0 result.

That's the thing, a lot of people have underestimated Liverpool when Gerrard and/or Torres have been out and they still get results. As long as they have one or the other, they are always a threat. That being said, this match could go seven different ways as far as who wins or a draw, etc. That's why I'd go with the total.

Can also say that if there is a jinx play from SBR on Saturday, it is Everton. EVERYONE seems to be on them on the handicap.

Liverpool's opponents since the Torres injury: Stoke, Tottenham, Wolverhampton, and Bolton. Not exactly murders row. They went 2-2-0 with both wins at home. And they have only scored 5 goals in those 4 contests.

Everton is 4-1-0 in their last five (league games) with 9 goals for and only 2 against.

Everton is in better form, but Everton has not won at Anfield in ten years.

I agree; under 2.5 looks like the best play. Half of Liverpool's games this season have been under 2.5 goals. 48% of Everton's games have gone under 2.5.

Would love to see the Toffees thrash Pool and hear another Rafa Rant on MOTD, but I reckon it will be a 1-1 draw. These derbies are usually really tight and too tough to call. Everton have played well away from Goodison (draws with Chelsea and Arsenal) and Liverpool have played better of late themselves. 8 of the last 17 at Anfield have ended in draws so it's a good bet this one will too. Moyes will be also be looking for his 600th win as a manager and what better way to win it in the derby. But they'll be at Anfield where it's tough to win but I don't think Liverpool are firing on all cylinders yet to take all 3pts against Everton side in good form and almost back to full strength. Should be a good one hopefully, but sometimes these early noon matches don't bring out the best performances.

I was leaning under for the whole evening, and am now actually leaning over. Liverpool has routinely put in at least 2 goals at home this season...it's almost like clockwork. Do we really think that Everton won't put one in the back on the net? This is a derby game, and if Liverpool goes up, you can be damn sure that Everton will fire back. I'm thinking there's a lot of value on trying to Over here.

Going with Liverpool and the Under 2 and 2.5, both at -103.

Liverpool is still a very strong team at home. Yes, they've had some poor performances away to teams like Portsmouth and Wolves but at home, they usually get the job done. In recent weeks they've defeated both Bolton (lower ranked team) and Tottenham (similar ranked team) at home. They might not be playing very well but Liverpool is able to beat both good teams and average teams at Anfield, even if its without Gerrard or Torres.

Finally, neither team is a naturally good offensive team, Liverpool is struggling to get a fit Gerrard and Torres on the field together, and its also a derby game so I feel that this is all pointing towards a tight game, with the total finishing on the Under.

Looking forward to watching this match. Good luck with your bets, everybody.

I'm afraid that the Liverpool game may go Over. The whole world is on the Under. Liverpool may eke out a 2-1 home win and all Under and draw bets will be quashed thereby.

Liverpool have tightened up their defence in recent weeks in the Premier League. They've only conceded 1 goal in their last 6 Premier League matches, with 2 clean sheets coming from fellow top 7 contenders, Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Of course, those who say the game has a fairly good chance of going Over, are certainly making a good point. I just think there's a better chance of the game going Under.

I think Everton will win, because Livverpool is in a bad shape and Everton had obtained two points with Arsenal and Chelsea
