I'd say yes, seeming as they are generally more motivated to do well in Cup play and have been hot as of late. I'm thinking of taking them +.5. Any thoughts?

#6As an Arsenal fan, i'd like both teams to burn in hell. As a devoted Arsenal fan, we suck and it hurts.

#8ace_of_spades : arsenal doesn't suck, they just gotta get used that van persie is injured. Arsenal is very unlucky in my opinion. Eduardo was injured so long, then Rosicky, now van Persie. I remember Walcott also missed alot last year or 2 years ago.Soccer record (2010) : 244-160-24

#11I think there's good value in playing for United win. My bookie gives me 2.10.
Last year the youngsters made it to the final in the Carlington Cup, so they do have
some experience.Comment -

#13This is Spurs cupthey have done well in this cup for a while, Totty don't have any other competitions to worry about in Europe so this is a good chance to put some silverware on the table. Man U have more important things to think about, this cup isn't a priority, they want to catch Chelsea in the league and secure first spot in the champions league, their squad isn't that deep anymore if a few players like Rooney, Vidic, Evra, Giggs were to get suspended or injured they will have a tough time. Man U will play a line-up similar to the one that played Besiktas, Tottenham have a chance if they bring the A team.

#15Wait for the line-up, looks like Ferguson will rest the key players again in this game,
Goal.com
First choice shot-stopper Edwin Van der Sar has a knee problem, versatile Brazilian prodigy Fabio da Silva is sidelined with a groin strain. Irish utility man John O'Shea is receiving treatment for a thigh muscle strain, while Northern Irishman Jonny Evans is recovering from a calf muscle problem. All of the aforementioned, however, are nearing an imminent return to the senior side.
Longer spells on the sidelines await Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves, though. The roaming centre back, like Evans, has a calf muscle injury, while the anchoring midfielder continues to find full fitness after a long and arduous battle against his knee issues.
Ferguson may elect to partner one of either Federico Macheda or Dan Welbeck, with fringe striker Michael Owen. Ben Foster will likely deputise for Kuszczak, in order to give the Pole a rest.Comment -

#16Harry Redknapp said he would rather guide Tottenham to a top-four Premier League finish than win a domestic cup this season
Harry Redknapp would rather guide his Tottenham Hotspur team to a top-four Premier League finish, and so qualify for the Champions League, than win a domestic cup competition this season. The manager will therefore give chances to some fringe players in tonight's Carling Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford.Comment -

#17long time Arsenal supporter here. It's a cup match, so anything goes, mancs and spuds will put in youngsters. there are a few first team players who need games, if valencia starts for united expect a win, otherwise it's a toss up for me.
