Need some help from a soccer guru.
Slovakia is -0.5 +120 and ML+115. I'm new to soocer betting so this line is rather confusing. I was told on another board that if you bet the -0.5 and its a draw you only lose half the money you bet. Is this true? If so, why do you get better odds if you risk half your money in case of a draw?

Not a guru, but will be glad to help.

In this case, the -0.5 line is the same as the money line. Both are to win the game. So you would be better taking the +120 over the +115.

The other scenario you are talking about is the split line. It would be pk/-0.5. In this case, your stake would be divided in half with half on pk (where you would get it back if there were a draw) and half on -0.5.

There are often cases where the -0.5 and the side in a three-way line have different prices. For betting purposes, the side in a three-way line is the same as a -0.5 line. Always take the better price in these cases.

Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be glad to try and help.

No take the -0.5 +120 for better odds. If they win it cashes. Same as ML +115.

        Welcome, CK.

I think they've already answered your question

also add that pk/-0.5 is also known as -.25

Yes that is correct, I think throwing -.25 and .75's out there would just be further confusing at this point though for someone learning the soccer betting.
