Liverpool - Tottenham
over 2.5 @ 2.14 (5dimes)
Postposted 10 days ago due to bad weather, the match between Tottenham and Liverpool will be played today, on Anfiled Road. It's a crucial match for both sides, as they are in direct fight for the 4th place. Therefore, this is a so called "6 points match", a home victory bringing Liverpool back on track, let's say, while Tottenham winning would make Liverpool's task much more difficult, and would give a big boost to Hotspurs.
Currently, Liverpool is 7th, 4 points behind Man City and Tottenham, and 2 behind Aston Villa, so anything is possible. Altough both teams usually score and allow many goals, the over 2.5 is considered an underdog here. The reason is simple : Liverpool will be missing Fernando Torres, their best scorer in the last 3 seasons. They will be also missing other vital players for them, like Steven Gerrard, Yossi Benayoun or Glen Johnson. Tottenham Hotspurs, on the other hand, will be be able to count on all their players, except for Aaron Lennon and Benoit Assou-Ekotto, so their offense should be at maximum capacity. Many people tend to think that without Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, Liverpool can't score, not to mention winning. Last round, they did score once, away at Stoke, and were unlucky to get equalized within the last moments of the match, Stoke denying Liverpool a precious victory. In that match, Liverpool did also play without the 4 absents from today, and played decently, considering that Stoke started the match with 1 big though in their minds : a 0-0 draw. Stoke defended the whole match, untill Liverpool managed to open the score.
Today, Liverpool will have a big advantage, as they play on Anfield. However, I'm not going to play Liverpool knowing these injuries. Tottenham is a high value squad, and their current place, 4th, isn't a coincidence. They've played very well, constantly, the whole season, especially if we reffer to their attack. They would probably be 1 or 2 places higher in the table if their defense were as good as their attack, but it is not happening this year, Tottenham being able to score 3 or more in a single match, but they also get 3 goals or more sometimes.
Altough Liverpool will be without the best players, I'm confident that, since both team need 3 points, the over 2.5 will be a winning bet.

Arsenal -Bolton
Arsenal -1.75 @ 1.75 (pinnacle)
Hue opportunity for Arsenal today to pass Man Utd and to climb up the the second place of the premiership table. It would be a fantastic performance, as the gunners were considered outsiders for the championship at the begining of the season. Nevertheless, at the begining of December, Arsenal was way behind both Chelsea and Man Utd, and back then, it seemed that we will see, once more, a duel between these teams for the title.
But the extremly talented players of Arsenal started to win match after match and have 6 victories over the last 8 matches in the Premiership. Impressive, I would say, especially since most of these victories were obtained in an obvious way : 3-0 with Hull City and Aston Villa, 4-1 at Portsmouth. This match has a very nice story. Initially, it should have been played somewhere last autumn, but for reasons I don't remember, it has been postposted to 6th of january. But neighter on the 6th of Jabuary was this match played due to bad weather conditions. Meanwhile, last Sunday, Arsenal and Bolton played, but the 2nd scheduled match of the season. Arsenal won easily, 2-0.
The difference between Arsenal and Bolton was obvious, the score didn't reflected the reality from the field, as Arsenal dominated more. Now, Arsenal plays on Emirates, their home arena, so their chances are even bigger. The situation can't turn 180 degress over night (almost literally over night) and Arsenal has a big big chance to come on the second place. Actually, if Arsenal wins by at least 3 goals, they will be 1st, but having 1 match more than Chelsea, and the same amount of points, 48. Go Gunners !!

well, Bolton is weak team, Arsenal is red hot right now....Normally, considering their latest home matches, Arsenal should have no problem winning 3-0
but I prefer the -1.75, and usually, i like this 0.75 bets because they usually win.
I am very confident I will continue my great sreak started 2 nights ago, with suns - grizzlies over 225...
i went perfectly ever since. And i played what i wrote, so that should tell you sth...you lose i lose, you win, i win....so good luck to all of ya...

yep even with the home field etc, i just have some kind of vibe about them playing so close to each other again that, anger, etc still is a strong force, plus i see bolton going for the tie atleast playing more back less front, hoping to handcuff the shots of the stronger arsenal team, either way its going to be the game of the day as far as physical play

Liverpool home games have gone over 2.5 for 80% this season and Spurs away have gone over 70% of the matches. The over is definitely the call.

Nice write-up on Pool-Spurs. Quite good odds for over (2.2 betfair at the moment) since there are usually plenty of goals when these two meet. And Liverpool is 2.5 at home against Tottenham, who would have thought that at the start of the season... Nevertheless I will probably skip this because
- it's very hard to see who will score goals for liverpool when Gerrard, Torres and Benayoun are absent. Maybe Maxi Rodriguez will get his first start in this. Kuyt has potential but will he get enough support from the middlefield ithout Gerrard and Benayoun? Babel is good, but if he wants to play, he will probably have to apologise Benitez for his comments after the Stoke match.
- still no Aaron Lennon for Tottenham, and you'll never know what you get from Keane or Crouch
- Benitez's game philosophy against better teams is sometimes unbelievable defensive
- I really hope that I'm wrong, but I'm afraid that Redknapp's primary goal in this match is not to lose
- Tottenham have not conceded a goal in six straight premiership matches (3.10.2009 @ Bolton 2-2).
- despite all the absentees, Liverpool is not an easy team to beat at the anfield
On the other hand Glen Johnson and probably also Daniel Agger are absent for Liverpool, so Jamie Garragher will most likely start again at the wrong position as a right back - Kyrgiakos and Skrtel at the central defence does not soud very good.
- Crouch (and also Keane) has something to prove against Liverpool
I hope to see some goals but will not probably bet on this one. Or maybe something small on correct score 0-3 for Tottenham just for fun.

I don't think Arsenal will win at two goals or more. It's true, they play at home, but Bolton may be learned their lesson from Sunday and I think the defense will be more carefully.

SRBI, i really dont mind, u can call me however you want...i always got amused when reading miha.mihă, actually.
operator x, i prefer freecash because u know what you'll get. And im very pleased with what I've ordered from the store.
The duffel bug is big enough for a couple for 1 weekend.
The cap is very stylish, but its a bit hard for me to wear it since i have long hair.
the coffee mug is absol-****in-lutely huge, sth like 0.4 L. So is the beer glass.
and the shirts...well i've ordered 2 M's and the polo is a bit large (not long) for me (im 63kg and 1.79 m). I would recomand you the duffel bag, it costs 32 dollars)...and its very nice imo
