For some reason, the draw for the quarter-finals was not televised this time.
Entirely coincidentally no doubt, the big 3 (Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd) were kept apart, with the Manchester clubs drawn against the only 2 lower league teams left in the draw.
For years there have been rumours and conspiracy theories about the authorities rigging these draws to keep the big names in the competition for as long as possible. Broadcasting the draw on radio (I shit you not) instead of TV should work wonders for restoring confidence in the integrity & transparency of the draw.
