At least twice yesterday game was stopped by VAR for referee to review the tape. That time is always added to playing time. And VAR wasn't around in 2014. Could be one of the reasons

yea there's been a lot of 4, 5 minute stoppage.

90+5' The referee has stopped the game and is going to watch a video review for a situation.
90+4' The game is restarted
90+3' The play is stopped. The players are pushing and shouting at each-other, the referee should take action.
