The 1st leg may have ended as a 3 - 1 away win for Bilbao, but they were the recipients of a lot of good fortune. Spartak Moscow pressed the play from the outset , and were down 3 - 0 at halftime , due to a couple of defensive blunders and an own goal. They regrouped at halftime and made a game of it by netting 1 in the 2nd half. I fully expect Spartak to come out looking for an early goal to get them back into this 2 legged affair , and for Bilbao to do what they do best.....counter.

Salzburg vs R. Soceidad : 3:05pm est

The first leg ended as 2 - 2 draw , Soceidad will have to score in Austria in order to advance. They certainly have no problem scoring , but the back 4 have been absolutely brutal all season long. 2nd verse ......same as the first.

Leans :

Marseille DNB @ 2.00 _ They were on another plateau then Braga in the 1st leg. It was as though the field was tilted in their favor. Up 3 - 0 and playing a huge game at PSG in 3 days, makes me leary as to what sort of line up they will field in Portugal. I am going to wait on the official line ups. May still play Over 2.5 @ 1.98.

I really think Dynamo Kiev are the better side against AEK , but they are lacking in real game situations after a lengthy layoff. I just dont think 1.85 is enough enticement to back them

Villareal / Lyon Over 1.5 1st half @ 2.25. Its a tidy 3 - 1 advantage for Lyon as they travel to Spain. Villareal need to score at least 2 , and conceding 1 will make it 3 , so its all or nothing for them.

Over 2.5 goals at 11am in the early game from Moscow may help to change any or all of these from leans to wagers

What do we think about lokomotiv's motives today? They can essentially move on with a draw

Are they the type of team to do such tactics or do they only have 1 gear?

Nice have been on a very bad run of form in February , losing 4 of their past 5 , with only a home draw against Nantes last time out to show for it. Its not as though they havent shown flashes of brilliance, but they always seem to be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The 1st leg in France was a perfect example. They stormed out of the gates and had a 2 - 0 lead thanks to 2 goals by Balotelli , but gave up a silly goal in the last minute of the 1st half. They promptly took a red card in the 2nd half and conceded 2 goals to end up losing 3 - 2. I still believe that they are the better side on paper, but they will have to chase the game in Russia and score at least 2 on the road, and not surrender any, if they want to continue in this tourney. It should be a wide open affair , and i am shocked at the plus money offered here. Lok. Moscow arent exactly a defensive juggernaut.

FML, Balotelli hit the crossbar twice already. Should've seen 3 already..

Decent line up for both sides. Marseille have both Payet and Thauvin on the bench to start , but they are lining up in a 4 - 3 - 3 with Ocampus , Germain and the youngster N'Jie up front. Braga are also utilizing a 4 - 3 - 3 with the youngster from Egypt ( Hassan ) getting a start today. There should be plenty of scoring opportunities on both sides of the ball.

Dortmund are known for being the " Business First " team in Germany. Its all about buying or producing through the youth programs and selling players solely as an asset. They have a huge fan base that stuff the rafters to over 80,000 per game , and create plenty of revenue for the greedy board of Directors. But every year they sell off ( For BIG profits ) the top players of the side. Names like Goetze and Aubemayang , Dembele , Lewandoski , Hummells , Kagawa ........ etc etc. The one thing that they do very well though is replace them with players who are full of talent. This young sensation ( 25) just scores goals. Fun to watch for sure
