The Duke Nuke-em Axis of Evil Blockbuster Showdown - NORTH KOREA v IRAN
Its the big one! the most bad ass match of the weekend, North Korea v Iran in a World Cup Qualifier, one of those two teams is likely to make it to the world cup. Who will it be?

Uday, Saddam Hussein's feared elder son, and president of the Iraq National Olympic Committee, tortured footballers who played below par, Time magazine reports in its latest issue.

Players had their feet scalded and toenails ripped off for failing to win and allegations of torture were investigated by the international football federation FIFA.

However Time says the investigations failed because no player would dare admit to suffering such abuse for fear of even worse.

Time, however, says it has found what may be the first tangible evidence pointing to torture in Uday's own backyard, the administrative compound of the Iraqi national Olympic committee in central Baghdad.

Hidden in a pile of dead leaves, 20 metres from the building housing the Iraqi Football Association, was an iron maiden.

Big enough to house a grown man, the sarcophagus-shaped device is a large, metal closet with long spikes on the inside door that closes to impale its victim.

The one found in Baghdad was clearly worn from use, its nails having lost some of their sharpness.

It lay on its side within view of Uday's first-floor offices in the soccer association. The torture device was brought to Time's attention by a group of looters who had been stripping the compound of anything of value.

They had left behind the iron maiden, believing it to be worthless.

US troops found scores of pages on torture printed from websites when they inspected his wrecked sports centre inside the presidential compound.

Under 2.5 seems like the smart play.

Aren't they playing in North Korea? Good luck getting a win there with Kim Jong Il in power. If Iran is smart they'll just play for the Draw. Under 2.5 is good but laying over -200 is too much. I'll take Under 2.

I'll cap this. North Korea, historically, is 0-4 against Iran.

But everything changes now. This is the best North Korean side since 66. I've actually seen a few of their games, they are quick and dynamic, actually very entertaining to watch.

People see Iran as a power in the region due to past successes but that has changed. Iran lost at home to Saudi and drew away to UAE, the two weakest in the group. North Korea has not lost a home qualifier yet.

I expect North Korea to at least get a draw here but they certainly will not lose. After this they have one game remaining, and that is against Saudi Arabia who is their closest rival. They NEED to get a result from this game.

My pick: North Korea pk, or to win. I would actually lean to the Over, both teams will be frantically attacking since Iran NEEDS at least 7 points from the final 3 games, and one of those is at South Korea.. This could be a 1-1 draw, or else I think North Korea beats them with the counterattack.

North Korea needs at least a draw here. Anything less would be uncivilized. I want them to make it just because they haven't been in it in 40 years. Iran makes it everytime it seems so I'm pulling for the 40 year drought team.
