I'm gonna start to keep a log of my soccer picks. I like to make solid picks, no matter what league or how low the conference is. Let's see this goes. So for day 1 I got:

    Sheffield United v Nottingham Forest

PICK: Sheff Utd - LOST (0-0)

    Record: 0-1-0

      Arsenal v Villarreal

      PICK: Arsenal (-150) - WIN (3-0)

Really looking to end this losing streak here with a pretty safe bet. Arsenal hasn't lost at home playing in the Champions League this season, conceding 1 goal in total while scoring 11. Villarreal has conceded 10 goals while playing away and have a record of 1-2-2. With Arsenal's recent form including five consecutive wins in the BPL, I see nothing else but an Arsenal victory.

      Record: 1-2-0

These odds are created to make you think Arsenal is a safe bet but in my opinion they should not be favoured. Arsenal have a long tradition of crumbling in the Champions League and should not be such heavy favourites. They should get the job done but this is champions league and I wouldn't go too heavy on a team like Arsenal at this stage with those odds even Villarael +1 is +100 which is ridiculous.

I agree with you the odds don't do this bet justice, but I still think it's a pretty safe bet, considering the Villarreal injury list (Senna and Cazorla are out) and Arsenal's recent form. A Villarreal win would be a huge upset, let alone a qualification.

Arsenal got its own injury problem as well. Almunia, Gallas, Clichy and Djourou are all injured. Silvestre will come into central defence with Łukasz Fabiański in goal and 19-year-old Kieran Gibbs making his first UEFA Champions League start at left-back.

Villarreal is without Cazorla and Senna while Cani and Mati Fernández are set to return.

BTT - villareal don't have to win, a 1-1 draw would be good enough for extra time. Arsenal won't stroll this game, v'real play some amazing football and the its a game i couldnt bet on becasue it will be too nervous.
              Maybe 1-0 arsenal - 2nd half winner

Will Villarreal score? Arsenal has been pretty lights out at home. 1-0 or 2-0 sounds right to me, I might play the -1 and take the push if it goes 1-0.

If you like the under, I would suggest playing the draw and the under 2

                Draw +300 .33u
                Under 2 +160 1u

                Profits on 0-0, 1-0 either way, 1-1.

Easy money, Villarreal is buried now.

                    Dynamo Kiev v PSG

                    PICK: Dynamo Kiev (-120) - WIN (3-0)

I'm gonna go with Kiev in this one. They've been playing outstanding at home in the Champions League, haven't lost a game there. In 5 games at home they've scored 12 goals while conceding only 3, while PSG only scored 6 goals when playing away. Recent form hasn't been so spectacular for either side, but I think that this should be a sure win for Kiev.

I got them at -117. PSG won't feature their veterans. PSG is more concerned with league games than UEFA games. Let's cash this one.
