I'm really up in the air about Bayern @ Lyon. If I understand it right, a 0-0 draw benefits Lyon, but a 1-1 draw benefits Bayern?

I don't follow France all that close, can Lyon shut them down if Bayern comes with their best as they say they will? If not, I gotta lean Bayern (pk). Lyon's goal in the previous 1-1 draw was an own goal so on the flip side, can Lyon score or will they be trying their best for a 0-0 draw?

Anyone have a play on this game? I might like the under.

Bayern have a superior goals difference than Lyon (7 to 5), so a draw of any sort takes Bayern to the top of the group.

ESPN is saying different. They say goal differential will only be used if this game ties 1-1 because that means there head to head matches are equal. Here are quotes from ESPN preview of the game

Lyon drew 1-1 with Bayern at the Allianz Arena in the first fixture between the sides so will secure first place with a goalless draw.

If the match finishes 1-1, the teams' head-to-head record will be identical and they will then be separated by goal difference, with Bayern therefore finishing top.

A bigger scoring draw will see Bayern go to the summit because away goals will count double.

So I am thinking about the same thing as Boston Bruin. Bayern coach said he is going to field his best squad. Lyon is in poor form. They may just sit back and play for 0-0 draw. Can Lyon keep a clean sheet against Bayern's best squad? Right now I am leaning towards NO and playing Bayern Munich to win or PK line.

Oh, I thought the Spanish league was the only body using the head-to-head rule. If the head-to-head rule is applied, then a goalless draw will propel Lyon to the top of the league.
This increases the likelihood that Bayern will win the game. Lyon can't keep a clean sheet against Bayern and Lyon's top scorer, Benzema, will be out due to injury.

My Watford play was based on their hunger to win. Teams fighting relegation have the greatest hunger to win and they hardly pass up an opportunity to grab points. Watford have been playing well of recent. They're better than their league position would suggest.

Wow Bayern almost choked it away. Lyon dominated the 2nd half.

Luckily they held on.

My other bets were not so good.
