2 Units Fulham +176(Betfair) To Beat Man City Sat 7.45AM EST
Given that Fulham have already won five at home this season and are currently unbeaten in four, including draws on the road at Liverpool and Villa, and home wins against Newcastle and Tottenham, I really like them in this game. Although not a team you’d want to stake your life on, they’re playing well and should be able to despatch a Man City side that has only won one in seven on the road in the Premier League this year.
2 Units Hull City +140(William Hill) To Beat Middlesbrough Sat 10.00AM EST
It’s not often I’ll have 2 Units on a team that hasn’t won in six games but I’m willing to do it here and play against a skittish Boro team. Despite their recent blip, Hull have scored five goals in their last three games, the only problem is they’ve conceded five as well, to make those three games draws. I’m always happy to take a chance on a team who can score goals and the only reason I make it a 2 Unit play instead of 4 Units is because you can never be sure which Boro team will show. My money is hoping it’s the crap one.
2 Units Portsmouth + 175(Bet365) To Beat West Brom Sun 10.00AM EST
The logic behind this pick is as simple as it gets. West Brom are a bad side, they’ve not won in eight and in that time have conceded 20 goals. By contrast, Portsmouth have only lost one of their last six in all competitions, including a 2-2 home draw against AC Milan, and the only defeat was at Wolfsburg on Thursday in the UEFA Cup when they still managed to score two on the road. Also, in those six games they’ve scored 11 goals and I don’t think WBA can possibly keep up.
0.25 Unit Sunderland + 2600(Betfair) To Beat Man Utd Sat 12.30PM EST
I've been around long enough to know Sunderland probably won't win this but I've also been around long enough to know no Premier League team should be +2600 against another Premier League team in a league game, this price is just another reflection of the sheer weight of 'blind' money on Man Utd. Sunderlands manager resigned on Wednesday and players often play better when a manager leaves because they have a potential new manager to impress, and new contracts to play for. Do I think Sunderland will win? No. Will I have a measley quarter unit on a team who are as low as +1400 elsewhere? Absolutely.
+ 10.05 Units on posted plays.
